With the January Transfer window getting ever closer - highlighted by all those Christmas adverts - along with our high-flying Premier League form, does anyone think that we might be going back in for Leandro Damiao?

Only reason I ask this is that Saints seem to follow players for multiple windows, and recently signed players have spoken about Saints interest in them over prolonged periods.

So could it be that we'll go back for Damiao, or will we stick with the forwards we have?

Either way, it seems that if we bring in anyone come January, we will need to let one or two players go that no longer have a future at Southampton.

I think the signing of Osvaldo indicates Damiao is not likely now. Next summer maybe when Cortese and Poch will again be reminded Lambert isn't getting any younger but I can't see us being too desperate to add to an area of the squad where we have 3 very talented options and only really need 1 in order to field our style of play.

I would think we are more likely to be signing a defender (yet again), to give Fonte someone to battle against for the place along side the incredibly talented Lovren. Otherwise it could just be one, unexpected, big money move again.

Why would add a striker? it's not a position we lack players or quality in. Just because we went for him once doesn't mean we're in for him again, same with Banega as we have enough cover in both positions we need a wide player and possibly full back cover and a young CB and that's being picky!

3 goals in 17 matches lol we don't need him

Some things don't change. This might get your back-up as it did mine,
(don't think I'm allowed to post a link), but if you google 'Paul Parker, Forget about Mourinho's 'negative' Chelsea, stylish Arsenal can win title'
and have a read of his article, We are only mentioned once and that is as the team Man Utd failed to beat at home. The total opposite to our new Champion, Stan Collymore, who after commentating on the Fulham game, could not give a man-of-the match, But gave it to the Whole Saints team, and instantly started his own campaign for Roy to select Saints players for the England Team.
