I think I posted on here last season asking who you thought would break through the season just gone, anyway guys, the same question applies again!

Always enjoy hearing from Southampton, some of the young players are just incredible.

So Shaw, Lallana and Lambert (I thought jay rod for Lambert. )

Who have you got this season then?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Supposedly this season will be the chance for Targett and McQueen to really show their stuff in the seniors. I think we can expect to see a lot more from the young James Ward-Prowse this coming season though as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Plenty coming through but think James ward prowse will have the biggest impact this season

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with ward-prowse, he looks an amazing talent. Not heard much of Targett though.

Cheers for the answers,

Good luck next season saints!

Mcqueen, Targett and Sinclair are probably the ones to watch out for. Sims and Hesketh might get the odd run out in the second half of the season. I expect Reed and Ward-Prowse to have a greater role this season as well. I agree with others, this is a big season for Ward-Prowse, it could be his genuine breakout year.

as soon as koeman was appointed I said we should try for de vrij, he has 1 year left on his current deal at feyenoord and was mustard at the WC. especially for a 22 y. o. there will be to interest from around europe but maybe koeman can swing it. imagine Lovren and De Vrij.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So we can sign De Vrij, Martins Indi, Forster and Kongolo for around the same sum as we will get for Lovren. Mmmm if only life was so simple.

I would be delighted to see 2 of the 4 mentioned and Cork offered a new contract.

PS Poor old Feyenoord!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm pretty sure Martins Indi is off to Porto, and I have a feeling Kongolo will stay at De Kuip for at least another season. However, Forster I am positive about, De Vrij too but we need to act fast and bid properly, none of this £3 million silly stuff. Lay down the £7 they want

Hope you're right , the best keeper I've seen in the last couple of years.

Agree0 Disagree0

^ it's easy to look like a great keeper when you're faced with 20 shots a game

Agree0 Disagree0

20 shots a game? In that case he made close to 700 saves last season, impressive eh? Honestly though as you already know I really rate Marshall, wasted in the Championship.

It seems to have gone a little quiet on the transfer front. I've spent a bit of time looking on the interweb but, I can't seem to find much. Where's Ralph?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Still sewing all the club badges on our home-made kit ready for the 19th.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no rush to sign players right now. This week Southampton are focusing on integrating Pellè & Tadić into the squad and raising team spirit. After they return, Koeman will look at tranfer targets and aim to bring in more. He's in complete control right now and is doing the best thing possible by introducing new players slowly. It's a long summer, don't worry.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed but he's on the doorstep of Holland in Belgium so might just pop down the road and buy someone.
