With all this talk of players leaving, why can't Saints just say "No. you are on long term contracts, you are not going anywhere yet!"? Liverpool did it with Suarez and Burnley has just done it with Ings. Thoughts please.

Keeping players here against their will would have a bad effect on our squads happiness as the players who want to stay will be playing with players who don't want to be there and may not care as much, I don't know but would you want someone to stay if they weren't 100% committed to Saints? I'm not sure

Koeman will decide who he wants at the club. He is a strong leader, highly respected and decorated as a player and coach. Any player that wants to leave Saints now is either a fool or a breadfan. Koeman will instil a steely determination in our players and give them the belief to progress as individuals and as a team. He also has a great track record with nurturing young talent and has provided Manchester United's new manager with several excellent players at the World Cup. I am genuinely excited by the prospect of Koeman coaching Saints. No matter who leaves or joins. Onwards and upwards

St Sam. it worked for Liverpool last year with Suarez. They said no. He went on to have the best season in his career. Not saying its right but it doesn't always mean a player won't play well if they don't get the big move they are after.

It was different with Suarez as he signed a new deal, he wasn't forced to do that was he? Plus the other Liverpool players must know he's he's a bit of a d**k anyway, although he has had a fairly well behaved season for him. Plus Suarez is one of the nest players in the world and there aren't many players out there who could replace him, I want everyone to stay of course but we don't want an unhappy squad and when you go to watch a match, wouldn't you want to watch players who actually want to be there? But anyway hopefully Koeman can convince them to stay and show our ambitions in the transfer market to make them want to stay

Read that koeman wants to bring his bro as his number 2, seeing as seedorf is out of work wonder if we could get him to work with the academy?
