Just saw a video of Lucas Biglia and well he looks class, would love to sign him!

Not sure we're too likely to get him I' afraid. Can't remember us being linked to him at all recently? Then again what do papers actually know huh?

This business with Cortese and the Liebherr's. People, relax! it's all pure speculation and scaremongering.

If there are issues (which I seriously doubt as I don't see how anyone could possibly know), then I'm sure it will be ironed out or rectified for the good of the club. Whatever happens, we'll either have a billionaire owner or a ruthlessly demanding chairman with mega rich connections.

I only 100% believe what comes from the club. Before people start jumping to conclusions just because some tabloids have copied other tabloids (originally The Times - oh yes, sure, they're well in the know at Southampton FC) spouting lies, they should consider who or what has actually been quoted and the source. All we've heard is, 'A source close to Cortese. ' I take that as either complete bull, or a tiny chance that Cortese wants it in the open to add weight to his position.

The only thing that makes me think for one second that there is any truth in the speculation is that the club have not moved to quash the rumours.

Hope you are right about there being no substance to rift between Trust & NC as despite some negative views on NC in my view he has done a fantastic job for us and if he, s ruffled a few feathers so what! It would be great if we could show him some support at our last fixture. Coyr

Yes, agree about supporting Cortese as he has been the single biggest factor in our success. But perhaps we should also sing Markus' name to remind the family of the legacy they have in their hands.

Frankly if the kids throw Cortese away they are damaging their own father's work. I'm not sure how keen they'd be to do that. I mean Markus is one half of the duo that saved us and really I wouldn't want to see the kids take away the Leibherr legacy on the club which could well last a very long time.

According to TV Cortese has commented about the situation and has stated he will come to a decision by the end of May as to whether he will stay, so there does seem to be some substance. Could be NC wanting to squeeze greater commitment from the Trust or there could be a real danger the family do not want to spend the sort of money needed to take Saints to the European level. If that is the case, maybe NC will stay and we will see new owners/part owners to achieve that or NC will decide the will is not there to take the club further than mid table EPL and then I think he will depart.
Hope it all gets sorted quickly and the original plan can be continued.

No way Cortese will hang around without the financial backing to move forward. He was offered AC Milan post 2 years ago and refused it to carry on the commitment here. He's hungry for success and doing a great job. I will be really disappointed with the Liebherr's if they do scupper the plans. Having said that, we don't know how unreasonable Cortese is being. Perhaps it is all just posturing to have it all his way.

Agree0 Disagree0

Reports starting to appear that if NC were to leave then MP would soon follow through the exit door. What a mess and way to end our season hope this gets sorted ASAP otherwise it's going to be a miserable way to end our 1st season back in prem.

If we are to sell the club we need to do it urgently as we need the funds now to avoid missing out on Players our Manager want. I hope the Liebherr family will see sense and trust in Cortese!

The rumours were that because Cortese has several very rich links from his banking days that if things go wrong with Cortese he has a bio-fuel giant willing to take over under a similar sort of arrangement.

It looks like the Lierbherr family are not interested in spending big money and in Cortese's ambitions for Saints. If that is the case I say sell the club to someone that are as we need the funds to buy new players if we are to be a force to be reckon in the Premier league.
