Harry Redknapp, i know the saints fans hate you.But you are the only man who can keep us up,last time you were our manager we were already down and run by a silly Mr Lowe.Nigel just does not have a clue about premier league football.I can see that if saints lose to villa and everton then he will be sacked.

Believable5 Unbelievable12

I agree with u

Agree3 Disagree8

Stick with Nigel! Only 4games in and the team wil start winning soon

Agree6 Disagree3

You people have short memories. you really want harry back? he will ran us in to the ground. you fools!!!

Agree4 Disagree3

Personic post, NA is the man

Agree4 Disagree1

I would rather have Emile Heskey than that Judus if im being honest.

Give Nigel a chance, we have played the 3 best teams in the league. Give him at least another 4 games to prove himself before you start judging.

Agree4 Disagree0

Don't be silly saints fans. This is obviously a skate with nothing better to do as Walsall batter his chumps.

Just wondering if anyone still disagrees that we should play a side that exploits our superior opponents weaknesses instead of being arrogant enough to claim Lambert should start as he will score and that playing our best 11 is the best we can do. I said lee in for Lambert as he would be dominated in the air and we need a striker to put pressure on the defence when not in possession, if not lee then rodrigues and Lambert would be more effective from the bench. That was dismissed as ludicrous as Lambert is the be all and end all. Rodriguez was more of a handful for both centre backs than Lambert was all game. Also, puncheon is not a better player than Ramirez just because he played well against united once and should be regarded second to him if we play him on the right, although playing behind the striker seems his greatest position.

Nobody played well today but we have to realise most teams are better than us and we cannot go to arsenal and take them on at a possession game. Where is plan b,c,d etc?

I feel we have enough to pick up a result Saturday but it is built up in the same way as Wigan is and should not be considered 'easier'. Season starts now as we all knew it would, we've had the glory ties now time for picking up the points.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Nobody played well? JWP was fantastic!

Agree9 Disagree2

The ramirez puncheons point, I think that was probably because puncheon played so well last game and because ramirez hasn't settled in yet at all (most debuts are of the bench esspecialy debuts under na)

Agree5 Disagree2

Think this result shows where we really are. Not enough quality player espeically in defence. I think the players and fans are very low now and a win against Villa will lift everyone. If we loose it will show we are not good enough and we will be down by Easter.

Agree8 Disagree3

We need to keep up the support and get behind the team. They have got it in them to beat Villa and all they have to do is wake up, pull themselves together and treat playing Villa as if it were Manchester United. All teams should be the same, competing for every ball, pushing forward where possible. Holding the ball up well. We need the performances and we need the effort. When things get sloppy games like that one against Arsenal will happen over and over again.

Agree3 Disagree1

1st half was quite bad, but second half was a solid performance if you actually watched the game, maya yoshida gonna be great for us, even though he scored danny fox was getting out of position too many times

Agree3 Disagree2

Solid? arsenal scored 2 and could've had 4, if thats solid god help u

Two penalties and an own goal by Hooiveld, and yet you are all calling for Fonte to be benched? are we watching the same games?

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Hooiveld didn't play well in the time he had on the pitch but i thought Yoshida did well considering he was chucked on the pitch in an unfamiliar team. Fonte was our best defender today. Ramirez looked very classy. Lets face it, we were well and truly beaten by an excellent Santi Cazorla. Unbelievable player. The pace Arsenal have is sublime. A lot of teams will get a thrashing from them this season. That is our 3 big games over and done with so hopefully we can push on now and get some points. We deserved the 3 points against Man U but I see the potential in our team. WE WILL WIN GAMES.

Agree7 Disagree3

Actually worse than i thought you'd be, down by march

Agree7 Disagree10

There are no easy games in the pl your defense is suspect.
be interesting to see our you perform in your next match dont think na knows how to grind out a result

Agree10 Disagree3

Wigan came to st marys and hammered you. You are playing catch up already and your goal difference is huge, worrying times, you looked like a championship side today.

Agree7 Disagree8

It all about not losing to keep the confidence dont think nigel has got what takes to keep the saints up.you say you will win games but not enough games to keep you up already conceded what 12+ goals in four games and that was playing a 451 the heads have started to drop

Agree3 Disagree4

Did we look like a championship team against Man U and Man City? And wigan beat us 2-0. Hardly a hammering.

Agree5 Disagree4

Yeah that's true but 3 of those games have been against City, Man U, and Arsenal! Did any of us saints fans expect to win them? NO! We will stay up and you will eat your words. I really hope you're not a skate as they lost 2-1 to walsall today! Unreal how contrasting the fortunes are of the two south coast clubs.

Agree7 Disagree2

Why do people think saints are nailed on to go down, we've proved we can score against the best defenses, and three of our 4 games would have been bonus points and in two of those we played well, if you want to criticize us do it properly like 3 reply (4th if you include main post) he knows what he's talking about relative to the games saints have had and to ones coming up and isn't just "durp down by march". Most saints fans will admit we are in for a struggle more so than we thought with the lack of signings but I believe we have a better squad than wigan, reading. The only thing I believe stopping us staying up is the mentality of the players after losing the first four games, closing games out, and the tactical side of it, but if we have a quick turn around in are next few games that will already give us an excellent chance considering we've played two of the hardest games already.

Agree5 Disagree3

Against mc you shouldve been dead and buried by half time, city were poor by their standards, arsenal could've had double figures, down by march

Agree1 Disagree6

That performance was not good enough, when Gaston is properly in the squad we should get more goals. I just think today things didn't work. Kelvin had a goalkeeping horror show. He just didn't parry the ball away he put it into the face of goal regularly. Nathaniel Clyne is a brilliant player normally. Today he was sloppy, out of position and just not playing well. I hope the team manages to hold together better against all other opposition as today they completely failed to perform. Simple as.

Agree4 Disagree1

I never said saints would go down just questioning whether n/a can keep them up.
a couple of points every promoted needs to get off to a good start so playing man u man c and afc in the first four is never easy.
against man u you played really well until the end were their quality showed yet against arsenal the saints heads seamed to be down by that i mean there was a lack of closing down anybody who watches football knows with arsenal that you have to press the player and ball quickly force the mistakes 5 in midfield did nothing.
still feel saints are light the back and could do with a decent gk cover..who is your reserve gk?
think n/a back 2 back promotions may be his undoing he doesnt know how to grind out results and he more than likely has never had to try motivate and reinstall confidence in the team..
as a parting note how often do the saints play a 451 system?
i think the saints will stay up and i dont think nigel will be there at the end of the season..

Agree1 Disagree1

Shocking, only way to describe the team but although I'm a genuine saints fan have to admit its time for atkins to either get some help or go, we all appreciate what he's done but he is not a p/l manager, very poor tactically, blinded by what was needed to stay in p/l, he has had 4mths to find l/b, gk, 2x cb and attacking mid seems like we blew all our beans on ramirez, well will he still b with us in championship? He needs a defensive coach as obviously who we have is terrible look what adding Steve bould had done to arsenal. I hate redknapp but people no he gets best out of players, is this the way to go? I hope not, but it could b option. Atkins was poor last year and made some strange decisions which very nearly cost us luckily u don't get punished as much in championship, example playing falque against leicester, been with team 1 day didn't know anyone in a very important game that we got ripped apart

Agree3 Disagree3

I know you think Adkins has done a bad job but those are not an easy first 4 fixtures. We may not have quite managed the signings we all wanted in the defensive sector but I imagine we do have the players. We managed to get Yoshida and when he builds up a partnership with another Centre back we should be more solid. I know the left back situation isn't great but Fox was actually just about the best saints player on the pitch VS Arsenal (Says a lot about the rest). This team has great attacking options but the defence is a key problem. In January the club needs to go all out for defenders and keepers as we didn't focus enough. We are a good club but it just needs to tighten up.
