I no we need a rw/rm but we need to add to the back line after all u can score all we want but wot good is
it if we let more in and we start season sunday with a hard road to xmas
We do need centre backs I think that's it though the rest of the team is fine. Maybe a Winger would be nice but we need to get a Centre back.

Hey, at the time 15 million for Chamberlain was a brilliant deal for us. Walcott and Bale wanted out and we couldn't hold them. They would have gone anyway. At the time we lost these players we were in too low of a league to get a good replacement. Adkins may not have the best of situations but I'm sure we'll see another signing at least. Even if we're thrashed at City we never expected a win at city. I'm expecting a win vs Wigan and a draw vs either Man U or Arsenal to happen. I think we can get that and can wait for signings. It can happen still. If nothing comes through before the market ends then it is time to worry.

Cortese HAS to release the funds for another signing. Failing to do so is just arrogant and ignorant of the situation. We need a CB at the very least. To actually progress we need a CB, LB and RM. To have a proper squad we need 2 CB, RM, LM, LB.
If Cortese thinks we can walk into this division and do ok then he is just setting it up to fall flat on his face. I know he is a great business man, but I hope he stops trying to be so cunning and tight with money, and realise that the general (not absolute) rule is... money spent = success!

I'd say a lw aswell as with Lallana in the middle there was nothing going down the left
Lallana needs to stay out on the left where he is most effective not in the middle we should look at a loan signing for the middle of the park josh mcheachran would be great

I reckon the tactics are a lot more complicated than that. I just want to see us putting pressure on any time they get the ball and holding it back when we have it to slowly move forward. Formations aren't the most important thing we just need to make other teams uncomfortable.

Hope we do sign Phillips and Mexes, but what about Ramirez? and this big signing? doubt that's going to happen now. If this ineffectual transfer policy carries on and we loose against Wigan, the only chance we have to get 3 point in our first 5 games, realistically. I think Cortese will think about getting a new manager, I hope not though, as Adkins has been good for us.
If it doesn't go well in the first few games it could be October 20th. before the first point(s) of the season. At that point there will be no alternative but to seek a new manager. Sincerely hope I'm wrong.

I'm a little worried about our squad. We need another centre back at least for reinforcement. I would like to see two join and a keeper to add to our ranks.
