Just seen the line up and the bench. I Sooooooo hope I am wrong but it looks like we is getting stuffed tonight at the Bridge!

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Perhaps the hope is Lambert and Ramirez to be super subs?

Now believe NA is a genius!

Well what a battling result but still can't work out why our two best players are sat on the bench. Massive game, Rickie is fit and Ramirez would have been a better bet than Guly. Actually I think I would be a better bet than Guly!! Moan at me if you like but I think we would have a few more points but for some very odd team selections. Well done the lads especially Luke Shaw who was again outstanding, must keep hold of him no matter what. COYR.

Lambo and ramirez were super subs both goals went in within 3 mins of them coming on! Felt as good as a win after going in 2 down at ht

Agree3 Disagree0

I sometimes wonder if NA understands that a game is 90 mins, he said he brought Rickie on as an impact player. We were 2 nil down then, might be me but don't think we would have been 2 down if he had started. Just think two great goals like we scored should have been enough to win the game. You have to play your best players for the whole game and Rickie is our best attacking option. NA has done this a few times this season and I just don't get it.

Agree2 Disagree5

COYR : Listen carefully to NA's post match interview and learn. Sorry but fed up reading negative little whinges about some of NA's tactics or NC's transfer dealings. Great result tonight and further proof that we are following the right strategy to achieve our long term ambitions.

Chuffed to bits I was wrong!!! COYR

Yep enough is enough, if you don't back Adkins whether we win, lose or draw then go and take your support elsewhere! What if's mean nothing in football.

Agree7 Disagree1

Completely agree with the above post, i wander sometimes if those who constantly slate Adkins tactics know a thing about football. Up until the goals the reports said Saints were very comfortable and happy to keep the ball in the middle of the park, a result of clogging the midfield by Saints. J Rod has good legs and was clearly used as an outlet to allow us to get the ball further downfield and Guly (whos a played well in his last few games) has been working hard and tracking back in his games, obviously a qaulity Adkins felt would be useful against an attacking Chelsea. Chelsea would have dealt with Lambo if he had started but bringing him on when he did gave us a new attacking threat that Chelsea werent expecting. Great tactics, right formation and selection to start. Result proves it.

Agree4 Disagree1

Well, must say that result has cheered me up somewhat!

And, on that performance, so long as we don't get over-confident, we may just be okay league-wise.

Certainly shows we should be 'frightened' of no-one

We were still 2 nil down when he came on. Just don't get the logic, we are still only 3 points clear of the relegation zone and with Everton and Man you up next. Too close for comfort me thinks. Not trying to knock NA but in my opinion he isn't perfect tactically, however he thinks he is. Hate Harry with a vengeance but he has at least tightened QPR up. The two goals we conceded were really bad defensive errors caused by losing the ball in midfield, have a close look on player. One minute to half time we had the chance to get rid of the ball but lost it.

Agree0 Disagree5

I don't fault the tactics but you have to have the right standard of players. Davis didn't have a good game and we gave the ball away too many times. On the plus side we are defending better and showed great resolve in winning the ball back.
I'd like to see at least one more mid-fielder who can seriously threaten the goal. Cork and Sneiderlin are a great partnership in midfield but neither can hit a barn door.

Agree1 Disagree0

We've just got a point at Chelsea from 2-0 down, don't think anyone has any right to question tactics

Agree6 Disagree0

Well said Saint Gazza. I too believe Adkins tactics were spot on.

Some supporters need to listen to what he says.

If you go gung ho at Chelsea you will end up like Aston Villa. He noted that at St.Marys and he adapted his tactics accordingly-absolutely brilliant.

Chelsea were playing for the world team chapionship only recently- persons have to remember.

On the whole, Saints supporters do know their football, but we do seem to have attracted a few "sack the manager, why aren't we buying Messi/ Van Persie etc " persons-probably ex Chelsea supporters!

Yh it annoys me when we say we're too good for certain players, just because they're not playing regularly for their team or are in a lower league, ok sometimes it's true, but most of the time it's a little bit arrogant, from a saints fan

Agree1 Disagree1

Some people must really not understand football if you are saying NA is not using the right tactics or playing the right players! we are not going to go away from home and outplay chelsea so there for you have to pack the the middle of the park make it hard for them to play through you and press the ball gaston has not got the denfesive work that was needed for that game we need him going forward not on the edge of our own box! same reason for not starting rickie, jay rod just has that bit more work rate about him to chase down players when we have not got the ball !

NA is the right man to keep us in this league !

4 possible centre backs at the moment;
Sorensen, Forren, Astori and Douglas.

We all know Forren is almost a done deal, but anyone have any other news if one of the other 3 will be joining him?

- TJ

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I imagine there is a long list of possible options for us to take as a Centre back signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

I understand Forren will be announced tomorrow. If we add another CB think I would prefer Sorensen-just the right age and experienced at the top level.
