It's been a wacky season for goalscoring - three absolute hammerings in-between a lot of turgid huff and puff. I'm not sure Koeman's quite certain even now of his best XI and balance. But he learnt something today: let Mane play wherever he wants. Different class, that boy. A bit of an erratic, frustrating headless chicken at times, but every good side needs a wildcard.
Great second strike from Long as well, as if the day wasn't weird enough!
Fingers crossed for other results. If Swansea fail to beat City, that's top seven secured. If the Spuds fail to beat Hull, sixth is on - albeit Saints will probably need a point at City to be sure.

Perfect note to end what has turned into a really positive week for the club in all departments of the club. No reason to think next week won't continue that trend with a new Clyne deal on the cards and Jay Rod getting a run out in the U21s, then maybe an appearance against City on Sunday.

Probably the best 45 minutes of football seen at St. Mary's this season. Play like that against Man city next week and we could surprise them. Let's finish the season on a high and book a place in the Europa cup

I actually believe that Fonte has been so amazing this year because of the Unit in and around as a whole. Players I still don't think are good enough are yoshida and gazzaniga and again this may not be because they are bad individually but they upset the confidence and the balance. gazzaniga is still making errors that you make on a Sunday morning . kicking, catching, decision making is poor at best . that filters into defence, into players games and upsets other players games. Forster may not be the best all round gk but he has an air of confidence, almost arrogance that good gkers need. A back 5 of forster, clyne fonte, alderweireld and Bertrand would probably still be in and around 5th pushing on.yes I know the goals and chances dried up. I'm just looking defensively

I hope he is brought back to the Premier League this summer, it'll be great watching him tear up our competition just so long as he has a bad game whenever he plays against us.
