There's always going to be interest in our best players. Corteze has proved he wont sell if he doesn't want to or at least certainly not cheap, which I'd suggest will put cash-strapped Everton right out of the equation. Rickie has signed a long term contract and is happy. Besides all that.... He is a Liverpool fan!

Have actually spoken to his brother in law, who told me that he is from the RED part of Liverpool. Think that puts it to bed

" Everton, Fulham, West Brom and Southampton are all interested in Barnsley's Jacob Butterfield.

The 21-year-old will be out of contract at the end of the season and clubs are already lining up for his services.

Midfielder Butterfield was in May also linked with Aston Villa, Queens Park Rangers, Wolves and Leicester City.

Barnsley would likely hope to keep their Academy product, but he has yet to agree a new contract and his future is uncertain.

And with Butterfield's contract nearing its conclusion, a cut-price January move could be a possibility for the highly-rated talent."
