Thank you think a lot of pundits, papers and other clubs don't see how good of a club we are, also have to take into account we had back to back promotions so less time to build a prem ready squad but we have some fantastic players and youth coming through. I'm very proud of my team, and Nigel Adkins and cortese are the best manager and chairman we have had for a long time!

Goodluck with the title please don't let city get it!!

Clarkey saint

Agree4 Disagree0

As clarkey said to be honest. It really annoys me that us and the other teams at the lower end get ignored.
As for mark lawrenson........well the blokes a muppet.
Would far rather Man you get the title than city.

Southampton winger Jason Puncheon has revealed he hopes to win a new deal at St Mary's.

Puncheon, who scored Southampton's equaliser against Chelsea in midweek, is out of contract in the summer and as yet no new deal has been agreed.

The 26-year-old is happy to stay at Southampton after establishing himself as a key member of Nigel Adkins' side.

"I'm hoping to be, I'm happy here, and that's the most important thing, " Puncheon told the Daily Echo.

Puncheon refused to disclose whether contract talks had begun, as he added: "I can just say that I'm happy here and that's all I can say, and what will be dealt with will be dealt with internally."

Very dubious about anything from the Echo. Anyway, we will see.

But as an aside, what a pleasure to see how Jason has not just matured as a player, but as a person and a real team member (always one of the first to praise others and the importance of the club.)

Hope we can get a deal sorted.

Saint Martin

Agree8 Disagree3

I hope he stays he has been one of saints best players this season so far

Agree9 Disagree0

Must admit I am delighted at how his attitude has changed. I, for one, want to congratulate his maturity. It's amazing what a year can do :)

Agree6 Disagree1

I think he needs to have a better end product, yes he scored last night, but time and time again he wastes chances!

Agree4 Disagree4

Five goals in the EPL this season...can't argue with that.

Anyone else seriously concerned about the potential for a QPR resurgence? Redknapp in, Remy in, M'vila practically in... What are peoples thoughts?

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Who cares? we're finishing mid table!

Agree4 Disagree1

QPR for bankruptcy in 2 years......Harry's dog retires to the south of France.

Agree5 Disagree0

I'm not to worried they're 7 behind us and 5 from safety, I think they will stay up now, but only just however I think we're oncourse to stay up too so no need to worry

Agree2 Disagree0

I think they may stay up as much as I don't want them too but if we keep doing what we're doing then we don't have to worry about Arrys boys!

Agree2 Disagree1

QPR getting better and Newcastle getting worse... Hopefully it'll all just balance out. Maybe Wigan will finally get relegated. Aston Villa, Reading and Wigan to get relegated. QPR 17th, Newcastle 16th.

Agree0 Disagree1

Redknapp will take QPR down along with the ridiculous amount of cash they've spent. QPR are doing a Pompey.

Agree3 Disagree1

We have got to keep putting in performances like against Chelsea and not worry about anyone else. Anyway Remy has obviously gone there for the money and could't care less about the club and supporters. Anyone would have picked Newcastle over QPR

Agree4 Disagree0

As we learnt early on it takes time for a team to form an identity in this league, fingers crossed it takes QPR enough time to come together as a group and start winning that they will already be down!

Agree2 Disagree0

I expect a short term recovery from QPR then to implode with squabbles between the money grabbers.

Agree3 Disagree0

Villa reading newcastle 4 the drop saints top of the bottom half COYR

Agree1 Disagree1

It will all depend on how much money Arry spends before the transfer deadline. I expect he will try and spend well over 50m, plus all signings will be on huge bonuses to keep QPR up. If they stay up or go down they will cripple themselves financially. look at his track record spend spend spend Bournemouth, WHU, Pootsmouth. Either way he will pat himself on the back. Saints must not worry about them just concentrate on their own performance.

What a performance! That result will boost morale, and hopefully impress possible signings! I thought our whole back 4 was brilliant in the second half, bit unlucky in the first, Hoiveld is sounding like he is improving too which is good and delighted that Luke Shaw recovered so soon, I thought the worst when he was stretchered off against Villa!

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Jos got MOTM. Would have given it to Clyne myself.

Agree3 Disagree0

There were a lot of good performances, it could've been any of the back 4 or Cork, Shniederlin, Puncheon or maybe Ricky

Agree1 Disagree0

Great news that we can't agree on the Motm. Personally I thought that The whole team were awesome. If I had to pick one I'd pick either Spider or Cork.

It would be far easier to pick who wasn't Motm (Steven Davies)

Is this forren any good?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Must be alright if Liverpool took him on trial. Also, he stopped his trial at Liverpool when we made a bid.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ole Gunnar recommended him to Man Utd, but it is a bit strange that LFC wanted to see him train with the 1st team.
