I hate to say it as a saints fan but I can see us letting he aging forward go for the right price around 2-3m I know many saints fans won't like this as they can't handle change

Good enough yes now but for how long? You have to look into the future how many more years can lambo keep up with poch's hardworking style of play? I am a 100% saints fan and a 100% Lambert fan but I just think this has a very good chance of happing providing we have a top replacement hopefully. Do others not think so? I would love to see lambert working behind the scenes at sfc.
I think you will find Rickie has stated he wishes to finish his career at Saints. When will that be? Suspect it all depends on fitness/injuries etc. but he has a chance to make it to Brazil and also fancies a go at European competition, so, IMO he will be playing for Saints until the end of next season, at least. Not saying he will play every match but he knows his fitness will be well managed at Saints which will extend his career, so no logic to him going anywhere.

Billy Sharp comes out and says that he wants to sign for Reading and that he clearly has no future at Saints.
Not sure if Nicola would want to start the negotiations with Reading quite like that!
It's ok, they have been under way for quite some time anyway so it's not exactly just about to start. I hope Sharp does get his move to Reading so that this saga can be lain to rest.
Adkins said "We can only control the controlables" and was very non commital over Sharps future at Reading.
It's a stupid thing for Billy to say when we are trying to get a good price, maybe Beattie will pay more ;)
