Saints looking at Gary hooper! And don't say he ain't good enough because he's a proven scorer in the champions league!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not scored that many in the Champions league plus unlike most players in that competition he doesn't have to expend any energy playing domestically so it's not difficult for him. I don't think he could do it week in week out in a top league like the Premiership.

Agree0 Disagree0

Um that Henrick larsson guy that used to play for Celtic and score the same amount per season as hooper was bloody awful as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

You seriously think Hooper compares to Henrick Larsson? Larsson was a top player and looked so much better than the whole Celtic squad, plus this was in the days where Rangers were still a threat attracting strong players to that type of club. That's why he got his move to Barcelona. Hooper is not a stand out star of Celtic, yes he scores, but not on a par with Larsson. Doesn't even come close.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not saying he is any where close to the class of Henrick pointing out is goal record in that league including when rangers was in it is just as good

Whos would be the best and the worst for Saints out of these 3:

Banega
Wanyama
Nainngolan

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wanyama for me

Agree0 Disagree0

Banega best.

Wanyama worst. Just.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wanyama I would not like. Don't think he has too much technical ability. I mean yeah he can hold it at Celtic but I think he'd struggle with the high pressure stuff we try. Either of the others would be good. Think Banega is the best as he could replace Davis playing slightly off infront of the midfield duo Cork and Schneiderlin creating a great midfield option.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh please. !

Agree0 Disagree0

Nainngolan for me, every day of the week! don't think we'll get him, but it'd be a real coup if we did. I think Wanyama's good but his reputation on here is being boosted something silly by fifa. Banega looks good but did run himself over. I think my mind keeps drawing comparisons between that story and the guy from east 17 who did the same (in more dramatic fashion) which triggers alarm bells :-)

MSSaint

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha. E17 guys (Brian Harvey or something?) excuse was he ate too many 'baked potatoes', leaned out of his car to be sick while moving and fell out and under the back wheels. I hope he doesn't have the same explanation.

Didn't really want Man U as final game of the season but we can definatly win the first 4 and push on from there COYR!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

At least we know we have to beat Manchester United on final day to win the league. I know its still early days, but we can start dreaming now

Agree0 Disagree0

I remember the last time we played Manchester United on the last day of the season at St. Marys.

Agree0 Disagree0

Best time to play utd IMO. As the likelihood is that the league will have been won by the final game so they'll have nothing to play for but a squad full if internationals with an eye on the World Cup hoping not to get injured.

Agree0 Disagree0

Seems a very long time since that game against United ^^

Heard reason why kit is not launched or a date yet is because of the sponserer they had lined up pulled out at last min (LOTUS). now in search of new sponserer.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well I did know aap pulled out because couldn't afford it or something, personally i'm not sure who I want on our shirts just going to have to wait for it to be revealed

Agree0 Disagree0

Nonsense. AAP3 still has one more year.

The kit is no later than planned - we usually release it at the beginning of July. People are just getting over excited about the new Adidas deal and don't want to wait any longer.

Agree0 Disagree0

App3 didn't want to pay full wack now saints are in the premier league. Bet365 have offered the most but don't fit with a family club image. I have been told that aap3 will be on the shirt again this year.

Agree0 Disagree0

AAP3 had to drop the kit sponsorship due to financial problems. They can't afford the sponsorship figure of us in the Premiership. They probably expected us to be Championship for longer but they are pulling out and allowing us a new sponsor.

Agree0 Disagree0

This also fits in with what I had heard about the perspective new sponsor. aap3 still very active on twitter talking about saints so assume that we are sticikng with them for another year.

Still we can aution off the naming rights to the new training facility.
