If you haven't listened to that Canadian radio interview from Kruegar you should its a good listen. A funny comment from the interviewer at the start to Kruegar is

'How in the name of Matt Le Tissier did you end up getting this job'

The main thing I pick up from it is that his main role is going to be growing our brand to produce more revenue to enable us to keep our best young players by being able to offer them bigger contracts than we do currently and to slowly push the clubs above us but spending within our means. I feel this is a good thing, I don't want us to get into the top 4 by the way Man City and Chelsea do by spending billions, it would be much more satisfying doing it within our means with players from our academy contributing.

I expect him to push hard in Canada and North America to increase our stature, with all his links there he is most likely to be successful. Good times ahead for the saints

A new era with a more global, transparent and open saints

The future is bright.

Ok which Saints first team players will NOT be linked with a big move in the summer?

Boruc -?
Clyne -?
Chambers - Arsenal
Fonte -?
Lovren - Man Utd
Shaw - Everyone
Lallana - Man Utd
Gaston -?
Davis -?
Spiderman - Arsenal
Wanyama - Man City (daft I know)
Lambert -?
J Rod - Liverpool

MoPo - Spurs

Gaston must be due a new contract or to be moved on I would think?

Talk about forgotten man, Cork's injured for a few weeks, his contract's not up for discussion and only a year remaining but "the fans" don't even include him on a list of players potentially leaving this summer when he's probably the most likely of them all to leave.
I suppose he's in with the Bully Sharpe, Jonathon Forte list now?

Contract not up for discussion? who told you? I suspect contracts will be dealt with towards the end of the season like last year

Why do fans seem to think Gaston will come good or is good?
He's been here two years, cost £12m and can't keep a place in the match day 16 let alone first 11, fact!
Osvaldo, rubbish buy.
Wanyama, good early season results against the weaker teams mask a lack of ability. Big and strong doesn't = good footballer. And what about his fitness and weight?
Basically we've bought some good (Lovren, Jrod, Clyne and the season before Cork) and some not so good.
The academy has produced.
Our biggest purchases have been IMO iffy at best, downright poor at worst xxx

To the above poster:
You're wrong, Gaston has been influential in many games this season, Osvaldo had trouble but Wanyama has never done anything wrong! So stop moaning about him and the rest of the players - support the team, good decisions and bad; that doesn't make you plastic, it makes you loyal & true.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gaston, I believe is starting to show signs of his abilities, Osvaldo played some decent (not outstanding games) and if he had more time to gel with the team (rather than trying to knock them out) he would have become a very useful player for us. Wanyama, is a different kind of player to Cork. Cork is I believe more suited to playing a counter-attacking game, with better distribution and vision, but Wanyama is by no means a bad buy. Someone who can sit in front of the defence when we are under pressure and literally stop anything that comes at him can't be a bad thing in my mind!

^ finally, someone else with a brain in their head
