Hodgson's always been a bit of a joke. Nothing's changed.
Gibbs isn't first choice at Arsenal, Shaw isn't trusted at United, and Baines has just returned from injury.
Bertrand is first choice left back at a top-six side with the best defence in the league. It's not a hard decision to make.
Then again, Hodgson watched Kyle Walker put in one of the most inept defensive performances of all time against United last week and still called him up, so perhaps Uncle Roy doesn't value defensive attributes above what club you play for.
In other news, Harry Reed, Premier League midfielder, can't get a gig for the England U21s, who instead have picked a bunch of Championship players. I'm sure it all makes sense to someone.

Not to me and I would think most people with half a brain would agree, maybe that's why we never win anything . Seems to me we need somebody like ( I hate to say it ) Pulis or Pardew?

England need a manager who is willing to give form players a go.
Until that happens we are going to get no where.
I'd go with (and I hate to say it even more than your suggestions Chrisdownj) Poch. At least he was willing to give youth a try with us and now he is doing the same with Spurs and dropping the "big names" to the bench.

Heard weak rumours of Walcott stalling on a new deal and Arsenal eyeing Mane. Would definitely prefer to keep Mane as opposed to having Walcott back, as much as I admire him as our academy product. I feel that if we push for top 4, we may be pleasantly surprised with Spider and Clyne possibly staying. Almost certain Atletico won't let Toby go for 6.8 million, he is worth triple that. But we cannot think of points and just take every game and try and win everyone and see where we end up. COYR

With the inevitable of Schneiderlin leaving in the summer free transfer available could be Nigel de Jong.
Another player out of contract with tons of experience who I think could greatly improve our young players with his 110% attitude is James Milner
Would love to see us also get either Austin or Ings (is both too greedy.?)

Doubt we will go for De Jong because of his age, but I think he could do well, we already have wanyama for the holding role so would like Schneiderlin's replacement to be a bit more cute on the ball (Clasie maybe) Milner is thinking of going abroad and would love to see either austin or Ings. preferably Ings

I have been hearing about this Danny Ings thing for what seems forever now . What is so special about him? If he is that good why are Burnley in the bottom three . I know it's not all his fault but why do you all think he is that good and the same thing with Austin . I personally think Austin is the best bet but no guarantees at the top level . Give Pelle a chance he will come good again we know he can we saw it for ourselves earlier in the season . If J Rod doesn't come back let's look again in the summer .
