AC Milan striker Adrian would be a real coup if we could get him, ok he hasn't been as good as was last year which is why he'd be a lot cheaper but I think we could get him scoring again, thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You mean Atletico.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yh sorry * Athletico Madrid, still thoughts?

Agree0 Disagree0

He would be a good signing and he would offer a lot to the team in terms of goals he scored 19 last season bur diego costa took his place don't know why? But I suppose diego costa is better. He could deffiantly hack it in the prem and he would provid a quality which we don't have in the goal area, lambert and jay are good don't get me wrong but they aren't world class yet! Lambert won't ever be world class, which is a shame because if he was 24-26 he could easily turn it to one but he isnt. So i'm thinking lopez could easily be in the top scorers area next season provided he gets the servise he needs, that's why players like Lamela would be good signings because they can provid the services he needs and then Lallana can go to his prefered side on the left! And lamela on the right with Lopez up front would give us the edge we are missingnat them moment. that's what I think anyway

just thought. could have ended really badly if we didn't have that run of beating man city, chelsea and liverpool at st marys.

3 games we could have easily lost too. but in the end we did it. really proud

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Easily on papaer. But we totally deserved those victories. They were nothing the fluke results where we dominated yet dropped points at Spuds, Man Utd, Wigan, Norwich, Stoke (twice) etc etc. If wwe had any sort of luck this season we would have had a lot more points. Next season we'l be better and won't have the likes of Danny Fox destroying our performances.

Agree0 Disagree0

Id agree at least 7pts thrown away we really need to kill teams off

Sir Alex leaving, Rooney maybe leaving and probably a new wonder price striker being brought in. I'm thinking now would be the time for us to sign a prolific poacher like Hernandez or even Welbeck could do a job. Good work rates, goal scorers, pace to boot and could very well be available this summer. What do you reckon?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I reckon you're dreaming and this is why people say we are deluded because of people like you who post this c**p

Agree0 Disagree0

Also how is Welbeck prolific he scored 1 I repeat 1 league goal this year

Agree0 Disagree0

I think people missed your point. hernandez is prolificm welbeck could do a job and i'm pretty sure this isn't an actual rumour, more of a 'these guys might be worth a go'.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know it isn't an actual rumour, but what's the point, it is implying these players would come to us which they won't. They play for Manchester United

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this the same hernandez that real madrid want as any exchange for ronaldo?

some how I don't think it will happen. got more chance of signing higuian of madrid. get real

Agree0 Disagree0

Ronaldo isn't leaving Madrid. Telling other people to get real when you're quoting paper talk.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll weigh in here, I don't see Hernandez or Welbeck staying at United. Players of their calibre won't like playing second fiddle forever. Hernandez would probably go to the Spanish league if anything. But Welbeck? Now Welbeck would stay in England and he could be a proper striker if a team played to his strengths and more importantly, actually had him as a striker. Look around England, where could he go better then Saints; Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal, City. They'll all be looking for an already finished product. The only three sides I could realistically see a player like Welbeck at next season, aside from United, is Everton, Saints and Swansea.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hernandez is decent but not world class, yet too big a name for us to attract at this moment. Welbeck is the new Emile Heskey - no thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

With Rooney leaving I can see Hernandez playing a lot more unless they sign another big name striker

Agree0 Disagree0

Jesus get a grip no wonder saints fans are getting the rip taken, we will be buying abroad as we are not yet a big enough pull for players getting game time at the major clubs here.

what does everyone think about Andy Carroll? would he be a good or bad signing in your opinion?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bad, high wages high price tag for a younger less prolific Rickie Lambert. We will not be signing Andy Carroll

Agree0 Disagree0

Wages would be a problem. Especially for what you get out of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol, he's pony. Need a quick clinical goalscorer. Not a geordie lump.

Agree0 Disagree0

Waste of money, only would sign him if he was available for £1million, and £5k a week wages

Agree0 Disagree0

With my tin hat on, I think he would be a good signing. He's dangerous but we have greater priorities than a competitor for Rickie atm.

Agree0 Disagree0

What are you talking about, he'd be a great signing, he's been key to west ham this season and I think he'll do even better next season people compare him to the bad season he had at Liverpool all the time which I think is harsh he's clearly a good player if you've watched him recently

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, let's sack MP and hire Tony Pulis or Fat Sam while we're at it. Hooooooof!

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see from recent comments from MP a forward will be signed.
Don't know of one out there who would be the best fit, but a modern, young "Marian Pahars" is what I think would be ideal.
He always (when fit) found space, knew where all players were around him, very quick feet, instant decision making and a superb finisher. Remembered a game at the Dell when all the hype was about Owen, at his peak, playing against Saints. Marian made him look average. Very different player type to what we have but could see this could really bring out the best from the other lads.
Saint Martin

Agree0 Disagree0

Carroll is a good player but will be a bad signing due to his wage demands and price tag. We have Ricky Lambert. No need for Carroll.
