Pedro Rodriguez to Southampton? Oh Ed please plz please let it be true, that would be the signing of the decade let alone the season!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - there is only interest there. It really is highly unlikely, but you have to be in it to win it and if you don't ask you don't get. Unless you are talking to me mam, in which case, those who ask don't get, those who don't ask don't want. Oh and if you fall out of a tree and break your leg while trying to figure that one out, you are not to go running to her because she would give you something to cry about if you did.....}

Lmao! fairpoint ed

How about this for a worst-case scenario

Poch leaves - won't sign a new contract
Lallana to Liverpool - advanced talks already £25 mil
Shaw to Man U - £30 mil - KL wants the cash
Spider to Arsenal - £20 mil
Lovren to Liverpool - £15 mil
Ramirez to anyone he chooses.

leaves the squad devoid of cover
we'll end up with a nobody manager

been a saints fan too long to think that we can keep any of the above for 3-4 seasons and make a serious challenge to the top 6
the team next season will be made up of academy players Wanyama, Davis. SRL, Fonte

team for next season
Boruc
Chambers
Yoshida
Fonte
Clyne
Cork
Wanyama
Davis
ward-prowse
Gallagher/J Rod (when fit again)
SLR

come Xmas Jrod will go.

can't see us keeping the current team together for another season. a struggle to stay up 2014-2015
just my opinion.

I think some might be amazed how close you are to what might happen this summer. I'm not sure how true Spider to Arsenal is personally but I'm pretty sure Cork is as good as gone. All others are pretty sound too.
J'rod was being looked at as well but his injury has cast doubt on this now.

Why would post a worst case scenario? Nobody wants to read that.

Agree0 Disagree0

There's about a 1% chance of this happening. Why would Katerina Liebherr even bother getting a new board together, have Ralph Krueger promote some promising thoughts about the future to the fans, if by the end of this season the core of our team is going to go. And then to top it off, we will sign nobody to replace these players! Our squad is small enough as it is, if we sell these players we won't even be realistically able to compete next season. The media is hammering on about this player and that player being sold to make fans believe in this worse case scenario. The worst case scenario we may face this summer is selling Shaw, but even he doesn't want to go. As crazy as it may seem a lot of the players like playing for Saints. There's a togetherness within the team, which has been assisted by our terrific management, who likewise aren't going to leave.

Don't shoot the messenger.
This is a rumour site.
These are rumours, strong rumours.

Agree0 Disagree0

These are not strong rumours, they have no more value than the majority of fabricated stories by the newspapers concerning Saints, that seek to destabilise the fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

What confuses me about this scenario is it has us selling several first team players for more than 90 million (!) and then not bringing in anyone. Surely if Saints do sell this summer, Ms. Liebherr will reinvest the majority of the fees received in the squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is pure speculation coming from a lot of different papers who don't think we can hang onto our top players, Krueger has said we don't want to sell, Pochettino has said we won't sell, Lallana could've left us years ago but didn't and Shaw could've left last season if he wanted to, if you look at them they're quite a close group and they want to improve as a team, Shneiderlin wouldn't have said he wants investment in players if he's planning to leave, shows he is thinking about how the team can improve. I think they'll stay but if you want to think negatively that's up to you.

Agree0 Disagree0

You forgot Cork to Everton for £3m!
