What we need in January
In:
GK (1st choice:Brad Friedel) others, H Gomes, P Robinson, J Butland
CB (Michael Dawson) C Berra, S Dann, C Davies
RW (Jermain Lens) M Phillips, W Zaha[long shot], T Walcott[Ditto]
In brackets what I would try to do.
Out:
Gazzaniga (loan)
Forte (perm.)
Dickson (perm.)
Not too many changes, but could give us that bit extra experience and quality to get us over the line

What a joke. The goalkeepers listed are not good enough in some cases and in the rest, not going to happen and too old to interest Cortese anyway.
Defence, Spurs won't be looking to sell Dawson any more and the other 3 aren't Premiership standard.
Right Wing, can't see any of those happening and in the case of Walcott he's over paid and would be impossible to get.
As for the outs, Gazzaniga doesn't need to go on loan he is up to the challenge he's just had a confidence shake.
Can't see Forte or Dickson being signed to be honest either due to their wages.

You basically just contradicted everything put. Not on facts. Just to be ignorant and difficult..

If Walcott will take a 75% reduction in his current earnings may be a handy signing

A season loan for Gazzaniga would be a good move, get his confidence and experience in playing week in week out in the Championship.
Agree with the players listed in brackets, would massively help us but all others except Zaha would be over-priced and over-rated flops.

You're gonna hate this but I think it wouldn't hurt Nigel to have a loan spell with a manager who could teach him tactics. Never seen a more disjointed and sloppy display like yesterday, we moan about Fox etc. at least he would overlap and swing the ball in. Why was Ramirez almost totally alienated on the left wing? Bit confused.
Agree5
Disagree6
Nigel Adkins is actually very tactically sound. Some of our performances and the way he tightened the defence have shown that.

I wasn't contradicting to be difficult I was contradicting because I disagreed with your original post. I was trying to make a point about your post.

Saints need to sign proven quality players to survive and add depth to the squad, after watching an appalling match vs sunderland:
Ins:
Michael Dawson 5m/ Caulker (Loan)
Scott Parker 3m/ Jake Livermore 4m
David Bently 2m/ Matt Phillips 4m
Garry Hooper 6m/ Charlie Austin 3.5m
Craig Gordan (Free)/Fraser Forster 4m
Right: Experience, Left: Potential
we need a mix of both
Outs:
Butterfield 200k Charlton
Chaplow (Swap part Austin deal)
Boruc (Swap part Forster deal)
Dickson 100k Swindon
Guly 400k anywhere!
De Ridder Milwall (Loan)
Also thin we need to play Lee (Wing), Prowse (CM) and Mayuka (Wing) more and maybe recall Sharp and don't sign a striker.

What a load of childish nonsense!
Good job NA/NC will not panic like you would. It will be a couple of quality young players in January, probably not anyone you would know about.

If you've ever watched us play you'll know we need a CB, DM, Winger, Striker and a GK, we don't want foreign players that will take a while to adjust to English football, we also lack experience hence why this is what we need, but if you want to sign young foreign players who may not yet be prem standard or even close to that standard, then we will continue to struggle although I do thin k our current squad could survive in the prem, to progress this is what we need QUALITY players with prem experience.
Agree2
Disagree5
Their is NOTHING wrong with foreign players. They may take time to adjust but they are generally more cost effective than English ones. I mean English players cost a bomb and often fail to perform after moving clubs for big money too. I hope the owners think about the signings, look for the best players for the team who are obtainable for us, and get them. They know what they are doing.

Hooper £6m and Forster £4m or swap with Boruc. Are you joking those guys are going to be playing in the CL last 16 and will cost a hell of a lot more than them prices
Agree0
Disagree2
Hooper,Hooper,Hooper again!Saints have spent over the odds on Rodrigues the last thing they need to do this transfer window is waste money on a forward who would not get in the starting line up
Agree12
Disagree1
There is nothing wrong with foreign players, I just want players with prem experience, that won't have to take longer to adapt, and if you look at the list of player there a lot would be available for a cheap price.
Agree2

Scot Parker - 3m? What planet you on?
Agree2

Scott Parker at £3m-probably is the figure on his computer game that Mummy bought him for his birthday-trouble is, it was one of those counterfeit ones from China!
Agree1
Disagree1
Haha so he's good enough for the champions league but not for southamptons starting 11. Lmfao. Enjoy the drop
Agree1
Disagree0
Good enough for the Champions league? I wouldn't say he is. He's playing for a side with an element of luck. He wouldn't make it at St Mary's our attacking players are better than those of Celtic. Your advantage in the Champions league is obvious. Your players don't get worn out by league games like the other clubs. Get a grip of reality Celtic fans. Hooper is a very good striker. But he's not up to the Champions league and he would not be up to Southampton.
Celtic are better at the back than the front anyway. Hooper has reasonable support at Celtic but he is not by any means a stand out star.

If this is such a bad post how come 5 have agreed and 4 have disagreed?

Whats everyone elses predictions for today?
I think 2-0 saints

Adkins lost us that match on us by the wrong formation, mayuka did not play great he should be on the wing not upfront, Rodrigues should've played and where is Lee?
Agree3

Very bad result today
should be beating teams
like sunderland at home

I think 1-0 black cats

Lallana is a key player and the teams leader. Kinda though him vanishing could be the undoing today. Adkins did play a reasonable side today and the way they played wasn't too bad. Rodriguez probably should've played but good to see Mayuka get his chance and to be fair to him he was quite good.
Agree2

Since when is Mayuka a winger you person
Agree1

He played well against Tottenham in an advanced wing role hence why I say winger, best he has played for us so far was there so that's where I'd like to see him play again.
