Going to put a decent transfer on here . This is no rumor, but after watching saints at the weekend v burnley one player really stood out . Not often players stand out from the other team except the usual . But George Boyd would be a very useful and cheap option. We all laughted at Shane long signing for saints . But Boyd never gives up, plays high tempo, excellent range of passing, unselfish, and scores goals. And more importantly, knows the premier league

could not agree more I have always considered Boyd an exceptional talent performing well but slipping under the radar because 'he is only Burnley'. Seeing him up close last Saturday reinforced that opinion. In my opinion it is easy to shine in a succesful club but to do so from a stretched squad is far more impressive. I say go get

Boyd is a good player he works hard and is more than capable of pulling out a special goal however if we are serious about Europe then I'm not sure I can't see him being a first choice for us and that's probably what he wants at the stage of his career

I find it quite ludicrous that we have no goalkeeping alternative when we are at the top end of the PL . I love Kelvin Davies and he did brilliantly well when he came on and more or less kept us in it in the first half, however he is 38 and not the answer . It still seems strange to me that if they were never going to have Boruc on loan recall we should have bought a keeper last summer or at the least in January . Cropper and Gazza are not good enough yet ( probably never ) for this level so the injury to Forster could cost us ( unlikely I know ) a place in the CL, seems a bit short sighted to me . I don't know about you lot but I felt more relaxed when Kelvin Davies came on because the one thing he does do is control his 6 yard area and come for crosses positively and position himself properly for dead ball kicks . A good result yesterday but thought Koeman got his tactics all wrong in the first half, we were never going to pass our way through them but kept on trying to do so. All their first half chances came from balls over the top but even though we had Shane Long running in the channels we were playing much too slow and methodical to take advantage of his runs . 3 points are 3 points though and who cares how we get them, not me!

As far as I'm aware before yesterday Fraser had never had any injury which justifies why the club thought they could get away with Boruc (who didn't want to be back-up keeper remember) being loaned out and having Davis as 2nd GK until we recruit in the summer. It was a gamble and it hasn't paid off however with the best defence in the league I see no reason why we will have any serious problems, bar the Tottenham game.

Such a shame about Forster. Let's hope its not a long term injury like J Rod.
We are seriously short of cover in this area and will have to sign a new keeper in the summer. KD will do his best but will not be the answer for the run in nor the future.
The only reason why Clyne and Spider will want to leave in the summer is money. Even Sterling is wanting more at Liverpool. Its where we are at.
Players should look at our exports
Shaw. Poor and injury prone
Llanana struggling to make an impact
Lovren, a reserve at best
Chambers a reserve at best
Let's also stop talking about Austin and Danny Ings. Neither are the type of players we need. Trouble is inflated prices for moderate players, eg a carthorse like Bony for 25 million pushes up the value of others.
Its up to us fans to impress upon the club that we should keep our stars and impress upon them that they should stay with SFC .
