I know this is a bit off topic to normal posts but is there any news on a new kit as nike brought out umbro and the kit contract is now up any news on whether we'll have a nike kit or another supplier?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I heard a while back that our next kit was going to be Nike.

Nike usually stick to similar templates so looking at other striped kits I'd imagine it would look something like the Atletico kit with black (instead of blue) trim + shorts.

Will probably be released late June/early July as normal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently it's to be adidas. To celebrate this they are making a new mega store in West Quay

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard new colours are black and silver

Agree0 Disagree0

It won't be black and silver, its COYR, not COYBS. And after the bold move to go all red, I can't seem them reverting to stripes.

Agree0 Disagree0

The one that i've seen on from a friend looks like a liverpool kit. I really hope we get red and white stripes back tbh

How can we shut Manchester United up - they are still insisting that they are going to win the race for Shaw's signature!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If saints don't sell shaw that
should do the trick
anyway chelsea are favourites
if he does go in the distant
future

Agree0 Disagree0

Lot of 17 year olds in Man U/Chelsea etc. , etc teams, aren't there?

Saints have said what is happening re Luke, so has Luke. Suggest you believe them and not the press who are just trying to create stories through speculation.

Saint Martin

Money talks and shaw walks

Agree0 Disagree0

Money only talks if someone listens!

NOT FOR SALE, DON'T NEED THE MONEY, LUKE HAPPY TO STAY!

So put your wad away, and dream on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Repeat- money talks and shaw walks, wether for sale or not, if chelsea or one of the manchester clubs want shaw then they will get him

Agree0 Disagree0

You can repeat nonsense, but it remains nonsense!
Put your wad away, we're not listening.

Agree0 Disagree0

But they do want him. They'e wanted him for years but the answer is and always has been, a resounding NO THANKS! clueless deluded plastics

Think we are going to have a lot of disappointed saints fans after the summer with some of the names being flung around as of late, fair enough we have stated we are aiming for europe but come on we will need to build are club up to that level. Be realistic if it was so easy to get into the top 8 why do the top clubs spend such huge amounts of money every year to add to squads packed with international players? Because it takes a lot of hard work, quality and depth to get there.

I think we will spend big and get top 10 next season but we are a few years minimum from taking on tottenham, arsenal etc etc.

Good time to be a saints fan and we should love every minute but use some common sense when u slap names on these pages as the majority won't happen, many factors come into it like what the player wants, what southampton wants and what the selling club wants resulting in many more factors to decide if they want to sigb or not. Example are they in europe? No well I want european football now now 2 years time. I cab go on and on.

Clarkey saint

Think we will break are record signing again, can't wait!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I do generally agree with you Clarkey but I also think this 'he will want Europe' goes over the top as well. There seems to be more players expecting European football than places available.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can see where you are coming from, but Spurs without (?) Bale, Man. clubs both with new managers, Liverpool rebuilding on a limited budget (and maybe without Suarez), Arsenal brilliant or pants depending on their mood, and Chelsea with a new manager and a need to rebuild (opportunity or looming problem?)

Don't think NC or MP will have missed these signals and they will see now is the time to really push their "dream".

I think we will see some really good additions this summer (maybe not all big names but I suspect there are still talented young players out there that the club has been watching and is now ready to bring in. )

Don't think we have too many pieces missing from the "jigsaw" of putting out a top six side. Besides, we certainly can not fault NC on not having achieved the targets he sets, and in all cases to date ahead of schedule. A lot of our players are likely to improve next season having the experience now of playing in the Premiership and of course as they become older.

I just hope I'm right-I long to see the day when the media actually have to do some research about "little old Saints!"

Cheers for the realistic replys gazza and martin always like to hear your opinions on these pages

One thing hopefully we all agree, the squad will improve and we are definitely one of the very best footballing sides. Clueless plastics will sneer, but with out the horrendous luck we've put up with and opposition getting points from 1 shot, we'd have finished in top 10 no problem. We've battered the opposition almost every game since MP has come in. Just need to make the most of our 65% possession and chances - that's what a couple of quality signings can do for us. Tony

Pochettino wasn't kidding when he hinted at an attempted raid on Chelski. Lukaku could be joining us in a deal supposedly worth around 8 million.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

LOL never going to happen. Maybe 8m plus Shaw and even then only maybe. He cost Chelsea £18m and he's improved since then.

Agree0 Disagree0

As much as I'd love to see Lukaku in a Saints shirt this wouldn't happen especially for £8 million. They signed him for £18 million and his stock has only gone up since. The only way this could be possible is if Shaw was going the other way and still I think that's a deal that neither side would go for.

Agree0 Disagree0

8 million and shaw for Lukaku lol what a rip off

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance Shaw going to Chelsea, and you know what Chelsea are like with strikers, they don't hold on to them for long and sell for much less than they buy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Biggest load of rubbish I've heard in ages! Can't stop laughing! Please mate you should be on tv! I'd drive Luke shaw to Stanford bridge with the 18 mil Chelsea paid for lukaku and still think we had a result! The guys class' 20+ goals next season!

Agree0 Disagree0

May have mistyped. Should say 18 million. Not 8.

Agree0 Disagree0

More like 28 million or 20 and Shaw. In 5 years he will be better than Drogba.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, England's future number 3 is worth peanuts.

Man United are targetting Luke Shaw and four of our other youngsters! What's wrong with their own youngsters? What the point of the academy if other teams take our players away? There should be some law against it. If not if the player is lured away then the buying club should pay for their training costs, wages and a sustantial transfer fee! Including extra if they make the top grade and play for their country for the whole of their playing career after all we produced them! Look at the money other clubs are making for Bale, Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain. Its so unfair! What does anyone else think?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Haha relax. You read this in the Daily Fail didn't you? If that newspaper had any truth to it's rumours every club would have an entirely new starting XI each season.

The more respectable news-providers are saying he's committed his future to Saints and will soon sign a 5 year contract.

Shaw will go. when he is 21 years old to his boyhood club Chelsea, who will pay £20-£30 million for him. We can't stop players moving, but we will sell them at their prime and will therefore get the money we deserve for them : )

Agree0 Disagree0

Some people are so naive. How many times do people have to say he isn't going anywhere? I'd bet my life on him staying here.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have just read that shaw has now committed himself to saints. but if in the future any clubs lure away a youngster the buying club should be made to pay for it substantially!

Agree0 Disagree0

Haven't we got a 20% sell on clause for Bale?

Agree0 Disagree0

No we don't Rupert Lowe traded 30 percent on Bale for £1m cash and Tommy Forecast!

Agree0 Disagree0

As we no longer need to sell, we won't simples, we can offer them regular football which is something Utd can't so not gunna happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Shaw will be wearing blue first game of the season as he sits on the Chelsea bench, learning from Ash.

Agree0 Disagree0

You Chelsea supporters are real "persons", aren't you!

You give the reason why he will NOT be doing so.

A club with no faith in youth, yet you think you are an attraction to young talented players.

Chelsea? Just a posh version of the Wet Spam geriatric system!

Saint Martin

Agree0 Disagree0

Shaw will learn a lot more at Chelsea, being part of the champs lge squad, than he will staying at your little club, that's why he will join, don't be bitter, its just how it is, the big boys always get their way, lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Sitting on a bench is learning, is it?

Don't think you have ever played the game, have you?
