Instead of Saints fans and Celtic fans posting nonsense about each other, think what we have in common, good fans, good stadiums. As an Irishman I like your stadium's name SAINT Mary's LOL
Ours is called PARADISE!
Also your nasty neighbours are having a wee bit of trouble with HMRC, funnily enough our blue clad neighbours also are in soapy bubble with HMRC, do think it is their blue clolours that are the problem, ha ha ha. Just a thought maybe portsmouth and rangers can play each other to raise some money, loser pays the VAT, PAYE etc hail hail Timalloy

Couldn't agree more!

you think one football game going to settle both clubs financial troubles?

Agree1 Disagree1

Yeh - they could call it the Rosie47 benefit match and get Harry Redknapp to hold the money. Oh wait, he's already done that (allegedly - just for you ED)!

Told you so, the only way is down.

I hope this is just the beginning of the slide and hopefully portsmouth hit a bit of form and come may, the play off final is between you both, and portsmouth score an injury time own goal winner by none other than jos (slower than the mummy) hooiveld..............if carling did play off finals.

Southampton would beat the mighty CELTIC indeed.

Agree3 Disagree6

Ooh - you're nasty!

Agree4 Disagree0

Easy for a Celtic fan to gloat when you play pub sides every week.

Any team would struggle with their top 4 players out - Lambert, Lallana, Chaplow and Fonte are not just our best players, but among the best players in the division. That's always going to hurt coming up against a team like Leicester's.

In any case, we played poorly but still could have got a few goals. Just a bad day at the office.

It's easy to say we need a striker when we've been plagued by injuries - but we have T. Lee on his way and the others are all back next week!

Calling to replace the midfield is ridiculous - do you know the first thing about football? Chaplow, Lallana and Cork would get in any Championship starting 11.

Agree2 Disagree1

Of course its easy for a Celtic fan to gloat - get into your head they are a much bigger and successful club than ours - fact! Besides, that wasn't gloating it was BANTER and something we've been asking for with the insults we've been making about them. Have some respect for a club that's won the European Cup and for a player in Gary Hooper who shows loyalty to his club.

And if you doubt how big they are or knowledgeable about their football, go on their rumour/banter site and have a look - but don't leave any stupid comments there.

And in case you weren't watching, Chaplow and Lallana weren't playing last night! And youseem to have forgotten Schneiderlin for some reason.

Grief-stricken Saint (AD)

Agree2 Disagree0

Think you're bigging up Cork a bit there! If you look at your own post you'll see that Chaplow and Lallana weren't playing and you seem to have forgotten Spiderman and De Ridder for some reason. I know enough about football to know that strikers need service and support from midfield. And that's why we miss Lallana and Chaplow so badly. But that's the point isn't it - we don't have sufficient cover with enough quality.

But you probably know more about football than me - I can tell from your comment about the Celtic fan

Agree0 Disagree0

As a season ticket holder I am well aware Chaplow and Lallana were not playing, but being hit by injuries doesn't call for a complete midfield overhaul does it. 1 or 2 quality additions would be nice but I take exception when people make stupid comments like needing an 'entire midfield'. Saints are simply unlucky to have our key players out at the same time. If you rate De Ridder and Schneiderlin so highly then that compounds my point.

I expect I do know much more about football than you muppets, and I am confident I can read better too.

Celtic are a big club in a piss poor league. No Scottish domestic cup or title is on a par with success in the English league - FACT. Fair play to Celtic for winning the European cup, that is real success, even though they get a free shot every year.

You can go hold hands with your Celtic mate. Hopefully he can help with your 'grief' as I'm sure it's very hard for you coping with Saints being 2nd in the Championship.

Agree1 Disagree1

- you may be able to read but you certainly can't comprehend. Was referring to the one match on the BANTER page. We're not all as humourless, uptight and abusive as you. Cope with 2nd in the Championship? I've followed them through thick and thin for decades. I saw them lift the FA Cup and been with them for three relegations and two promotions. Season ticket holder? Big deal!

Agree0 Disagree1

Then why are you calling yourself 'grief stricken' and sucking up to sweaty socks?

Rite rite here folks yous mob couldnae lace superhoopers boots so look else where saints as hes NOT FOR SALE by the way how many fans can fit in ure stadium?and haf the times its probably not full but a cup final use like any other glory hunters will fill about 40,000 odd fans and look at the fans that travelled to seville 80,000 odd so thats why we are are bigger club than use will ever be,stef1967

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Lol im a gers man but well played stef

Agree2 Disagree1

Noone claimed to be a bigger club. Of course yours is a bigger club, look what they've done in the past. Point is, SPL and Celtic are nowhere near the standard of old, hence why teams from the English championship think they can get players from you. There are teams in the SPL that couldn't even get into the Championship, let alone our EPL.

On the support thing, a) Glasgow is a bigger city than Southampton, and b) half of Scotland support Celtic. There are more than 2 teams worth supporting in England, unlike in Scotland. St Mary's stadium is regularly near capacity. The JPT final a couple of years back was unbelievably well supported by Southampton fans, even though its a crappy cup. Compare that to the lack of Carlisle fans there!

Plus we can speak English properly.

Agree2 Disagree1

Get your facts right you deluded English bawbag,Celtic are not supported by half of Scotland -we are a minority in our own country and that's what makes us unique, your mob on the other hand are a yo yo club with little ambition. Hoodbhoy

Agree2 Disagree4

Calm down mate.banters banter, but dont start getting personal.we,re better than that.artybhoy

Agree1 Disagree0

Aye you might think you speak english properly but i have heard a cockney speak and i could not understand a word he said.

Agree0 Disagree0

Trust me, that was probably a blessing in disguise!

Lee Barnard back in full training should play the millwall f.a cup game

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Hope so,we could do with his fire and effort.

Agree8 Disagree2

Instead of who? Don't believe he would improve the team

Agree2 Disagree6

After last night, come on,tell me he couldn't do a better job than Guly or Conners,he'd at least chase and fight for the team.

Agree3 Disagree0

Guly was useless. He couldn't trap a bag of cement.

Agree3 Disagree1

Think I covered this already - see post 14th Jan.

Agree1 Disagree0

So you did sir.
