Ward-Prowse out for 10-12 weeks with a stress fracture of the foot. Shame for the lad - feared it was a bad one at the time - but he'll bounce back strongly, I'm sure.

Chance for Harry Reed to step up. JWP and Rodriguez can be like "two new signings" after Christmas, to coin a cliche.

Takes a bit of a shine off a great night for Saints, but that's football I guess.

Where did you hear that? Was it in the post match? That's a real shame if that's so, I felt he wasn't all that far away from making the England team.

I am not going to say much about last night's result against the Gunners apart from WHY ? WHY is it that the press always find an excuse for the these TOP teams when they play us ? Headlines like " ARSENAL KIDS LOSE CLOSE GAME TO Southampton " Kids like Podolski, Alexis Sanchez, Jack Wilshere, Diaby, Rosicky, Ospina, Santi Cazorla shall I go on. We were well organised and the better side and if we could have only taken our chances would have been out of sight about 70 minutes in. We have a great run of home games during October and could still be 2nd at the beginning of November, will the press if this happens give us the praise we deserve, we'll see but I expect not. Just two last things about our side Forster I am still not sure of with his rather static positioning at corners and free kicks and although it was a great free kick from Sanchez he didn't even try to save it. The other thing " MORGAN SCHNEIDERLIN " is without doubt the best player in the Premier League bar none, he was absolutely tremendous last night and has been since the start of the season.

I feel Morgan can be the next Vieira, and expect RoKo to be able to push him along that path. I will be very interested to see how Saints midfield look over the season-there is already a new dimension to them and I think this will get better and better.

So, for Spuds to offer £12m is an absolute joke, and can only have been with the intention of causing disruption.

Will be interesting to see if MoPo can go to the Emirates at the weekend and get a win!! I suspect not and also suspect the reaction against him will continue to increase. Might be a good bit of disruption working in our favour for th following match.

Imagine that you are hugely wealthy and you are well educated in business by your father. Imagine too, that your father invests in a business - in which he invests money and seems to make decisions based on sentiment rather than profit- which challenges the ideals you may have previously learnt.
You accept the fact that he deserves to pour his passion and resources into this enterprise and you support him in that.

Now imagine that he dies - and out of your love for him you decide to not only continue his dream (putting whatever plans you had for your own life on hold to an extent). But that you are greeted with suspicion, negativity and abuse for doing what you know he would want.

Imagine too, the discipline required to hear or read the abuse written about you, when you know your intentions are good, without responding in kind. I would struggle with this. I don't think I would have the strength of character.

What Markus Liebherr did for our club is unimaginably brilliant and kind. What his daughter has put up with- without response - shows genuine class, patience and resolve. I truly hope that we- the fans- could maybe start singing a song or two in appreciation for her.

Who knows - maybe she might fall in love with the club in the way that her father did and her guardianship of our beloved club would be secure for the foreseeable future.

If you agree with anything that I have said that's great. I suppose what I'm asking is that if things take a turn for the worse - as they did at the start of this summer- we now owe KL, LR and RK some patience and trust.

RK has done a wonderful job so far and that deserves praise - but we shouldn't forget those that took the abuse over the summer AND who chose RK.

Well said ! Let's have a few messages of humble pie from the detractors ! After tonight all SFC fans must be on cloud 9, especially after so many commentators are questioning the wisdom of those who left, including Mopo.

A week can be a long time in football so let's hope Harry Hood bites the dust at the weekend.
Well done to all concerned, owner, management and players. Great stuff!

I think we all need to take a step back and say just how delighted we are with everyone associated with SFC !

Nobody but nobody could possibly have seen the club in the position they are today. Indeed its rare for Garth Crookes to admit that he got it wrong, badly wrong.

Let's be satisfied and give Harry Hood the reception we gave Pardew and look forward to continuation of the work that is being put into SFC. Don't criticise just observe.
