I can not wait for Gaston to move on so we can spend 12 mil on somebody who actually wants to play! I am starting to think the same way about Osvaldo too also think saints need to bring more youth threw as cover sooner rather than later.

What club are going to pay £12m for Gaston? You might be waiting a long time, so long his contract runs out and he walks for free. Seem to remember Arsenal's hard line transfer policy resulting in a few high profile players running their contracts down then walking for free. And what's so wrong with Gaston? He never gets a chance

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that it's fair to say well see something happening with regards to Gaston fairly soon. Either he'll leave, or we'll see him playing more.

As for who will pay enough to take him, I guess if he does leave he'll go back to Italy.

If anyone watched Lamela recently, you'll have seen that he's struggling to play in the Premier league. Now he was someone that was one of the best prospects in the world, who many Saints fans wanted. Like Lamela, Gaston, and also Osvaldo haven't become bad players overnight.

It can take time for these players to settle, and in some cases they never do. What I find frustrating is that these players are probably more frustrated than the fans are, and as such need our support, not ignorance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Completely agree with your frustration, St Christopher

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree gaston deservs a chancein th league ye he plays in the cups but if he plays in the leage it could rove to be bette for saints?

Agree0 Disagree0

"The players are more frustrated than the fans are, and as such need our support"

Oh boo-hoo, poor dears. They're not the ones spending their hard earned money on supporting the club, they get paid a fortune as is. I don't need pats on the back and cuddles from strangers to do my job properly, and I get paid pennies compared to them.

Gaston isn't up to the rigors of the prem. And you can't call that an ignorant statement, the proof is clear to see. Stop foolishly waiting for him to turn things around.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gaston has had his chances he just doesn't want to be here if saints pay 12m for a player then they should of fitted in by now and I thought he was sought after by some Italian teams?

Agree0 Disagree0

"If Saints paid £12m for a player he should have fitted in now" unless he's big and strong and young, still learning his trade and the pace of the premiership and how to pass a football accurately.
Ten players playing out of their skin for the team can always cover for one dodgy individual

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you want to get rid of Gaston so bad he just needs game time Osvaldo also just needs a few games to get a purple patch going

Agree0 Disagree0

Just my opinion but Osvaldo will be gone by the end of next season if not well before, and he will go to a European club having failed to settle (in other words make any impression) in the premier league.

I would suggest Artur won't be doing THAT again, but MoPo has publicly backed him, I`m with MoPo.

From what I read from a MoPo interview, Lallana came off yesterday more to preserve him than any tactical change, Shaw was the same. We need to be able to rotate the squad without suffering but we haven't got the required quality in depth to do this.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree with the above post regarding depth of quality. Many saints supporters on this site were calling for further players in the summer, and yesterday showed that an alternative CB is required. We weren't that convincing in defence, I'm not convinced about playing Jos H, he clearly is not a premiership player and Fonte looked average without Louvern.
What are other Saint's fans views, regarding the best CD partnership, what about Maya?

Hoiveld played very well I thought, just one shocker from Boruc and Fonte pulling his shirt at the end, but we weren't out classed and played well

Agree0 Disagree0

I like the Hoover but l always feel that when he plays that a card a penalty or an own goal are never far away.

Agree0 Disagree0

One centre back of Premiership quality is all saints need Fonte and Yoshida are good cover but their not 36 games a season players

Leandro Paredes could be worth looking at, he's similar to Banega and could be half the price.

I hear people moaning and complaining about certain saints players. i. e victor and boruc.

were in the top 4. we just survived last season and could have so easily been playing away to yeovil this season if we had not got results against chelsea and man city last season.

its nearly December and we are 4th. get behind the team. 10th place this season will be seen as an improvement. onwards and upwards step by step.

so stop complaining. we probably lost 2-0 away to the future champions (and arsenal can do it).

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Could have got a draw if we did nt
give two silly goals away
the stupid antics of boruc who is meant to be an experienced keeper
thought he would have learnt after his performance at stoke
maybe not
i would say he has lost saints 4 points
lately

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't believe your saying boruc was at fault for the stoke game, he cost us at arsenal yes but you cannot say he should have been on his line at stoke when we kicked off and the ball was in their half.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's not get into a Boruc-beating debate. Boruc saved us points at United, and before that at Liverpool.

Boruc will save us more points by a mile than he'll cost us, so let's just be happy with what we have.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was his fault at Stoke, he didn't judge the ball properly in the air or account for the wind

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes he misjudged it but ill be questioning why lovren or fonte let it bounce, your taught that at early age unless you get a call which artur didnt

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember a football match is 90 minutes
long and anything is possible as was
seen against stoke

Agree0 Disagree0

Boruc has to become a safer pair of hands to be classed as a top six EPL keeper.
Stupid mistakes like that are seldom tolerated by top top clubs where fine margins are involved costing millions.
Distribution of the ball is also now Borucs worst attribute by a country mile, but the rest is great.

Agree0 Disagree0

Those Who have repeatedly said Boruc was at fault against Stoke, are quite obviously Armchair sports people, Very amusing. Not one pundit (ex sportsman) ever put the blame on him, They just found it bizarre as it was, The first major boot up field of the game, He had noway of knowing it was going to do the unexpected and kick off the surface after the bounce in such away, instead of loosing momentum after the bounce it seemed to pick up speed. Watch it!
