Just found this article hope it gets posted.
It goes like this: bumper crowd, full of the new Prawn Sandwich wannabees. A lovely, sunny day; everyone in shirtsleeves and sunglasses. The pre-game atmosphere at Mary D’s is like a VE-Day party. You saunter up to the ground with your mates, say hello to the bloke next to you and pass pleasantries about how s*** the Summer was and did he get away etc. The teams come out for the warm up – Southampton a load of unknowns; City parading new signings (last minute shopping in the transfer window) Van Persie, Modric, Ronaldo, Fat Ronaldo, Van Basten, Gullit, Pele, Jairzinho and Cruyff. Everyone’s excited. We are gonna do these.
The atmosphere builds to kick-off with laser beams, tickertape, parades of famous players and the inevitable lap of honour with the Cup. Gloating and ManUbaiting in excelsis. The DJ plays Blue Moon, Roll With It, Rocking All Over The World, We Are The Champions; and by 4pm (telly time) the crowd are like baying wolves. The Southampton players quake in their boots. The Ref blows for kick-off, and Sergio rolls it to Mario. Mario knocks it back to Barry. Barry taps it on to Joleon, who thinks he’ll give Harty a soft first touch – but hammers it straight into the top corner of his own net. Southampton park the bus for the next 2 hours. Job done and the press have a field day.
just yes would love this to happen lol. coyr!!

Totally off topic but entertaining none the less!
Although very charitable suggesting our defence capable of parking the bus against City for a match, doubt we will last ten minutes judging by our summer signings so far! Just need to score more than them though, no big deal...

People in Manchester don't own shirts.
We can do it. With Rickie on the pitch, anything can happen.
Unlike so many others, I have faith in Jos and Fonte. Fox is my big concern.

Has anyone heard anything concrete with regards;
Bream kayal
Stefan de Vrij
Jeremain Lens
I have seen them all linked with Southampton recently.

BERam Kayal won't be leaving Celtic

Beram Kayal is at the enquiry stage only. So is Izaguirre.
I think Celtic are willing to let a player go to influx a bit of cash to spend, Saints are just asking questions and seeing Celtic's willingness/valuation of the players and will judge it from there. Personally I don't think we need Kayal, but maybe NA sees him as a much needed bit of experience in the middle of the park.
de Vrij is a rumour only, personally I've not seen any concrete evidence. But could easily be going on quietly, it's hard to speculate.
Jermain Lens is a strong interest and Saints have had 1 bid turned down and are in the process of preparing a second "strong" bid which only slightly falls short of PSVs asking price.
All linked with Saints as you correctly said, but in terms of accuracy and likelihood I would say [from most likely to least likely]:
Lens > Izaguirre > Kayal > de Vrij
Of course this is all speculation based on limited sources and information, take it all with a pinch of salt, as with most things on this site.

Jj, i made up the rumor about saints enquiring about Izaguirre from celtic, i posted last night that they mentioned it on celtic tv during the norwich friendly. sorry, but its not true. and neither is kayal. {Ed001's Note - ones like that will get run with, simply because Southampton have scouted Celtic games. So it is possible.}

As Ed001 said, Saints are scouting Celtic as they think Celtic will be prepared to sell and they have a relatively solid squad.
The two names going round were Izaguirre and Kayal. If you made up the Izaguirre one fair enough. It's a position we need to fill so made sense. The Kayal one is true though, there is interest as Saints are trying to get some experience in and think there is a deal to be done with Celtic. Probably won't happen but there is interest there.
