Apparantly Liverpool want, Mateo Musachio on a free transfer, worth a go surely? A player of his quality would be unbelievable!
And liverpool have about 7 centre backs, tempt him with first team football!
Would be an unbelievable signing, he's still young to, would definitely be on par with the Lovren signing and even more of a coup on a free!

Us Saints fans are just amazing. I am an eternal optimist but also a complete realist. In football terms we still are a relatively small club. Yes KL may have money but our fan base is small (we do struggle to fill St Marys other than for the big games) we are not glamorous globally to players or fans. Football is a business now and dosh talks. We all talk about who may come in but I am more worried about who is off. Saints cannot realistically offer CL for a good 5 years. Luke, Dejan, Jay, Spider and even Adam are not going wait that long for the opportunity of honours, international caps and big bucks.
As for the dream - I am sure all fans of all clubs, all chairman and managers have the same one.
Unless KL says that she is going to release 100M for the transfer window we may struggle. Even that does not guarantee success - look at the 40M spent on Dani, Victor and Gaston. We must buy better than we got but then pay full price but those type of players are more likely to go to a perceived 'big club'.
We are in a vicious cycle. Success brings money and players. 8/9 in the Premiership is not success going forward.
Saints fans, enjoy what we have. I have seen it all through the 70's until now. Our support never wains and we must enjoy what we achieve. Success in the short term is getting players into national squads, actually beating the top six and may be just may be a good cup run.

According to reports, we have sent numerous scouts to watch games in the Portuguese league this season; we have also sent many scouts to watch games involving Sporting Lisbon. There are a lot of good players in the Portuguese league that can be bought for very cheap prices. My question is, does anyone know any targets that we might be looking at? Hopefully somebody knows the answer and I can remember one of the Eds saying that we were looking at someone from Sporting Lisbon in the summer - could it be the same player/players we are looking at?
