His contract with Chelsea may yet be extended and I would doubt him moving away. If he did move away it'd be to a club willing and able to pay him several hundred thousand a week which Southampton will not do because we have a decent wage structure.

I think think we should just splash the cash on a cb and gk to slot in the first 11, get rid of Boruc and then we will be fine ,pacey winger would be a bonus.

Good game today against Fulham. Unfortunate to only manage a point considering some of the standard of the play but it's another point on the board in a tough fixture at Craven Cottage. Hopefully Lallana will be back soon to add that little something to us going forward again.

We played well, but we need cover for Lallana on the flanks, I think Buckley could be good or Matt Phillips, Ince or maybe Surman could be good? David Bently could be good too, got a great cross on him or maybe look at Jermain Lens?

From what I've seen on youtube Lens is a pretty good finisher as well so definately would be useful. Though we played well today but think we are going to have to get the ball down and pass it around more to get anything at stoke. Think a point there would be respectable as well

We can all speculate about January. Personally think we have 3 players to get. Some attacking midfield cover for Lallana, Puncheon and Ramirez, some defensive cover for Fonte and Yoshida and a Goalkeeper. Although to think the most amount of goals we've conceded in a game in all of the past 8 is 1 so the defence has significantly improved thanks to Adkins.
January will be an important market but I think we have the capacity and the ability to pull up and get ourselves into a position to not only avoid the drop, but pull away from it entirely. It just requires the right organisation and the right 2 or 3 signings to come through from Adkins and Cortese which I have complete faith in them doing.

Well we will need to be at our best to face Stoke but we have a comfort in the fact they will be without strong Centre back Shawcross as he has been suspended for 1 match after getting yellow number 5 against Liverpool today.

Agree with the post about improved defence but shouldn't we also be thankful for the return of Jack Cork. Do we also, therefore, need defensive midfield cover?
