As per my previous post... Saints have now agreed terms over the transfer of BSC Young Boys and Zambia forward Emmanuel Mayuka on a five-year deal.

I just hope this signing turns out to be what we need. Also worried he might go missing part way through this season if he's an African cup of nations player. Or does that not apply?

No, you are a day out. And being a day out during a total remaining transfer window of 3 days, where Adkins has promised signings in those 3 days is useless! You just picked a day out of three, with no names or useful info, and when that transfer looked like it wasn't happening you changed your mind and said it would be the day after.

JJ give the guy a break, youre taking it a bit to serious i think, this isnt like a newspaper its a rumour site and at the end of the day, everyone is just using the world wide web to find a bit of gossip and hoping it materialises

^ Depends if Zambia qualify. As previous winners it's to be expected.

what do people think? ramirez had to refuse to play to force a transfer? or he was being selfish and ungrateful? i for one think he had to to force a move. {Ed003's Note - You have to think how you would feel if one of your players did the same thing really? }

Or you have to think as if u were the player {Ed001's Note - best is to try and see it from all sides, then make your own mind up.}

I think it was his agent that made him do it, sound like a very good agent, too good for my liking

Ed052, I'm not sure even if he settles one player can keep a team up in the Premiership. I mean if you put Plymouth Argyle in the Premiership and gave them Lionel Messi they wouldn't stay up (Although granted they would do 50 times better than without). The fact is if he settles he will be a great asset to the team but in order to stay up it surely requires a strong team effort. {Ed052's Note - They would mate haha}

He's exactly the type of player we needed last Saturday.

If plymouth had messi they would win the champions league lol

Misinformation before - a player/s is set to sign today, to be announced tomorrow. Even my source won't tell me who, they're keeping it pretty hush. Anyone working in the Saints hotel might get a look - TJ

Everyone has been saying it won't come today apart from you. It was only ever going to be announced after today, because the entire squad, manager, coaching staff etc will be in Stevenage for most of today. When it's announced it will be with NA/NC and club spokesman etc. Not with half the club missing.


There are only 3 days left after today and we have been guaranteed signings by Adkins so stop stating the obvious and backing out when it goes wrong.

Ward-Prowse is a very good player and is young. Only argument against him though is the fact he seems to be viewed as an either/or choice with Stephen Davis and we need Davis to play.

Because cork is injured, and he thinks he is ready for the big time, hodgson was really impressed with him at the udinese game
