Sinan Bolat, could be an option for southampton, the Turkish goalkeeper, is only 24 and out of contract in the summer price would be about 800k in Jan but Fulham are also keen.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Can do so so much better.

Agree5 Disagree0

We must do better, the keeper situation has got to be sorted out.

Hi, Leicester fan here we have been linked with a move for Ryan Dickson and Frazer Richardson from you. If we sign them will they do us any good. thanks

Believable2 Unbelievable0

It's hard to say. Dickson looked good but barely ever played. Richardson is ok going forward, good cross on him, and ok at the back but not great. Both perfectly able at Championship level.

Agree2 Disagree0

Id be surprised if Richardson went seeing as he is the only back up for Clyne at the moment.

Agree2 Disagree0

Dickson may well happen, I imagine he'd be keen to move to Leicester City too. Not sure Saints will allow Richardson to depart until the summer.

Agree2 Disagree0

Perfectly able at championship level !
Better keep em down at Marchwood then ready for next season.
Didn`t realize saints were way above championship level, battling for europe.
What an arrogant post. Get established before being cocky mate.

Agree0 Disagree10

I don't thinkhe was trying to be cocky. Players get found out very quickly in the Premiership and it doesn't matter if you are top or bottom you still have to face match the same standard.

Agree3 Disagree0

Well said mate. Plus he was only answering a question from a championship side fan who was asking about the player coming to his team. I bet you wish your team was playing championship football.

Agree4 Disagree1

As always these bitter fans never reply back

Agree2 Disagree1

Soton just on a seasons holiday in the prem , back home to championship next season

Agree1 Disagree5

Is that you wet sham baz

Agree0 Disagree1

Seasons holiday? I think Southampton's standard of play would argue against that. There are several teams I'd argue are doing worse. I think we can definitely conclude on Reading and QPR already. Aston Villa have gone straight down hill and they are not looking up to the Premiership either. I'd also argue cases for Fulham, Wigan, Newcastle and West Ham.

I mean West Ham have had a few shocking performances especially the god awful defeat to Reading. Wigan and Newcastle I can also see cases against but they are both doing very poor and may both get sucked into a full on relegation battle. Fulham however just look a bit of a mess as a team at the moment and seem un able to take the points so could also get into relegation trouble.

We need a solid experienced centre back either Michael Dawson from spurs or scott dann, they will both fit well into the squad

Also we need a goalkeeper as the ones we have now are unreliable and make too many silly mistakes, jack butland frombirmingham, future England international would be very promising or free agent ex Sunderland keeper And Scotland international craig Gordon

Also we need a striker as back up for Rickie if he gets injured or his form slips as neither Rodriguez or mayuka have proved themselves when they've been given the chance, maybe someone like Danny graham from Swansea, or go for a one month loan for robbie Keane as he would be a good goal scorer Or the out of favour at Aston villa paced Gabriel agbonlahor !

We need to sign 3 players definitely a goalkeeper a central defender and a striker and we don't particularly need a central midfielder as schneiderlin and cork are both doing well but if Scott Parker or frank lampard are an option they are simply too good to turn down!

Believable1 Unbelievable7

Well, you have come up with a number of options there, but I suspect not one of them is realistic, especially Frank Lampard on over £100k/week!

Agree7 Disagree0

I think JRod looks pretty good to be fair. The only chances he has had are either when he played on the wing against very tough opposition, or we haven't played well and given him enough of the ball. He scored once and had a fair goal disallowed. Mayuka has only started 1 game! Needs more playing time. We also have Lee waiting for a chance. I don't think we need a striker.

Also I think we need cover in CDM as when Cork doesn't play our defense gets put under a lot more pressure. I don't think it's coincidence that our defense stopped leaking goals since Corks return. All our dropped points recently have been good goals or GK errors (apart from Sunderland where they didn't hold the defensive line).

We need a GK most of all, cover at CB and cover at CDM. We don't have a problem scoring usually, with injuries 1 more creative player would help, but I think that's one for the summer.

Agree5 Disagree0

Personally don't think Dann is good enough to improve our team, Dawson would be great but a bit injury prone for someone that would cost 7 million and reasonable wages.

If we sign a keeper it should be someone experienced, we have a young keeper with potential in Gazzinega. Gordon, I don't believe is much of an improvement on what we have.

I think Rodriguez is looking better everytime I see him and is more than capable of scoring at this level, Mayuka in my opinion is more of a winger than an out and out replacement for Rickie, saying that another goalscorer would be nice. Agbonlahor is not the player he used to be and is playing more of a wide role for Villa at the moment, again don't think it would be an improvement on what we have. Graham is a reasonable player but we can do better than someone who can't get in the Swansea team.

Would love to see Parker or Lampard on short term deals but can't see NC wanting to pay such insane wages and they don't really fit in with the policy of signing younger players.

Agree2 Disagree3

Rodriguez is an under used player. Got great ability and can put the ball in the net with relative ease. Shame he's not been used too much but then again, it's him or Lambert so... Yeah. As for Mayuka, great pace and has potential. Think he's currently a great off the bench option. Comes on with 20 minutes left against tired defences and can prove critical. Not a first choice striker option yet but getting there.

I think we need to get in a new keeper, get rid of Boruc because he's just not settled well and bring in a Centre Back to provide proper cover so we can forget Hooiveld. Finally we should look into a Defensive Midfielder or an attacking midfielder to provide cover but it's not urgent as we do have some options with Ward-Prowse, Davis and Mayuka really able to slot in around.
