Lovely bloke but I don't think EPL quality

I think that ship has sailed, since the fall out he has bumped from club to club and been unable to put on a real good string of performances. Frankly for his sake we should be finding him a permanent home in a Championship or League 1 side so he can settle and start over.

Not up to scratch and he should have moved a couple of years ago. Two years out of a career is a long time. Don't know the ins and outs but was he just taking the money or was it Saints not wanting to sell him?

If City want to get rid of him at a cut price, to me that suggests an attitude problem or that he's not good enough to even be back up to the back up - is that the kind of player we want considering we're aspiring to be up there with City?

I'd have him at the club. As a CB not a RB. His best season was alongside Richard Dunne and he really looked awesome.
He would have to take a cut in salary

Hes definitely got ability but I doubt we would have an interest (wages, lack of playing time, suggested attitude. ). I can see him going abroad.

I'd definetly have him, at CB, he's the sort of player we'd get the best out of

A newspaper is now reporting we will be holding onto Lovren this summer. Nice to see a positive report about the saints for once.

Me again just to say when did you ever believe what the papers say. If their information was accurate it would be all over the media sites by now. It couldn't be our favourite know everything comic the MAIL could it??

Would love to have lovren stay. Excellent signing who has done well. unfortunately I think he may believe the grass is greener

I didn't say I believed it, just nice to see something which says someone might stay for once. Papers have been doom and glooming us for a while so a positive story is a breath of fresh air. Even if it is irrelevant to the actual situation.

I would love to believe it. Unfortunately the media love a scapegoat and at the moment we have truckloads of players leaving and are apparently doomed to fail forever. bless them

Were we not doomed to fail last year? And the year before too? As are every club outside the traditional top 6/7 that isn't managed by the tax dodging, financially irresponsible mad man who currently runs QPR? Not saying we're a shoe in to succeed but the press is nuts.

And I know you weren't knocking me, just felt the need to clarify my position none the less (FYI not knocking you either).

Now Phil we are talking from the same hymn sheet now! Just to think about the QPR manager makes me want to throw up. I take your point and agree 100%.

Hi Eds, any news on Gaston Ramirez a while back it was said there was interest from Italy. Thanks in advance

I imagine the state is the same as before. Ed's mentioned interest from one or two Italian sides. Possible they may have placed bids but I somewhat doubt we will have accepted any offers for him because it's far from likely he'd be being sold for a profit.

I think Gaston could be like a new signing if played. I saw a post on a Liverpool site moaning that Lallana was not as good as others in the Saints team and had stats.
Gaston was the best in many of the measures although obviously lacked games, get him playing.

Tadic does sound good and would be a great signing, but I feel that we should be even more ambitious and go for Shaqiri, would be an amazing signing who may already be better than Lallana, thoughts?

I don't think we would be able to get shaqiri. Plus he's already better than lallana anyway.
