Cedric could step up and be class but why did they sell him so cheap if he is that good?

The Clyne fee is rising too 15 million on appearances they just love to throw money away anyone thinking that Clyne us better than soure's without seeing him play is delusional as Clyne was a very good player but the only reason Liverpool have paid out far too much money on him is souly because he is English and it helps fill the quota

{Ed001's Note - what quota? There is no 'quota', and Liverpool have lots of English players anyway, so what quota would they need help filling?}

The spending too much on a defender quota?

Could I just say two words Luke Shaw and I think that says it all . Unfortunately we have wasted our profits on idiots like Osvaldo .

I don't know why you are slating clyne saying he's average. look at the stats. more chances created, more crosses, more tackles, more interceptions than any other RB last season. it is a loss and he was arguably the best RB in the league. Yes he faded towards the end but his quality is clear.

Who said he was average?

^ Wrong.
Amonst others, Trippier & Ivanovic created more chances. Janmaat had more assists, Clyne had 0. Janmaat & Zabeleta won more tackles. Janmaat had more interceptions and blocks. Clyne doesn't even make the top ten list of ariel duels won at right back

Clyne, decent player yes but let's not make him out to be the best in the league, shall we?

He had an amazing start to the season and started to de-clyne towards the end. Doesn't mean he's average though.

I thought Clyne was good for us. Only criticism would be that he used to give the ball away a lot but 9 times out of 10, he'd use his pace to win it back.

Where are you getting your stats? Opta - most tackles, 1.Nathaniel Coyne 115.
2.zabaleta 106
3.janmat 103.

Chances created I was wrong but I was firing from memory.

Schneiderlin's transfer to Manchester United seems to have stalled. LVG seems reluctant to meet our asking price for him. Vidal is available so maybe Utd are prioritizing him atm. Arsenal already has coquelin and I've got a wishful feeling Wenger doesn't want to hinder his development by sigining a player reducing his game time. Is there a sneaky chance Spider might stay on for another season?

Sign Toby and he could be persuaded!

Looks to me that LVG sees Morgan as 2nd or 3rd choice. Dangerous if that is the case because it could just make Morgan think again.
I am not convinced yet that he will NOT be a Saints player next season.

He may well feature for us yet again, but even if Man United's interest was deemed to have ended, they have a habit of coming back very late into the transfer window for a player. It's bizarre how little interest there has been for Morgan, his stats are gospel as to why he's worth the price tag Saints have set. Perhaps are asking price is more than the £25 million that's been bandied about.

Shaw to Utd for £30m+. So, Morgan would be sold for less? Suggest that means the media is guessing.

An interesting little exercise in the economics of the Premier League. Since the end of the 2013/14 season we have sold around £100m worth of players into other Premiership clubs. Have ANY of them been a success??

Might be a point that existing Saints players should consider, and perhaps other Premiership clubs should start to think about whether Saints success is not just about individuals.

How on earth have stoke got shaquiri, he wouldve been perfect for saints exactly what we need, come on les pull your finger out

I agree, he'd be a great addition and if Stoke can get him there's no reason why we can't, they've only reportedly agreed a fee
