He now wants to put the incident behind him and insists there is no lasting damage.

'It has been eventful obviously and what happened wasn't nice at the training ground, ' Fonte said.

'But I am man enough and I have moved on and I hope everyone can move on and focus on what is important which is Southampton, the club and winning games of football.

If Fonte can move on so can you lot. Dani isn't going anywhere

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Incident? Yeh fine we can all move on from an incident but what about the shockingly ill advised purchase in the first place of such a renowned muppet?

Agree0 Disagree0

What are you going on about it a done deal he's off to juventus

Agree0 Disagree0

He's is off tomorrow what are you on about

Agree0 Disagree0

Poch has said Ozvaldo clearly can't play for Saints again, I think you can take his word on that.

Agree0 Disagree0

We aren't going to let him go without getting a replacement first and we certainly aren't going to let him leave on loan without some kind of fee/guarantee to buy him and considering Juve have no money I doubt they're going to pay a loan fee or have the €15-20 mil to buy him with. Besides isn't Lambert off to West Ham? Everyone on here seems convinced of that. So, We're going to have 2 strikers then? One of which is a 18 year old. If Osvaldo leaves I'll give you my season ticket. Don't believe everything you read on twitter mmmkay?

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you want my address to send that season ticket to? :-)

mssaint

Agree0 Disagree0

Its on ssn, he's in turin. I'll have your season ticket, what has he done to impress you so much? 1 amazing goal and that is all he has done.

Agree0 Disagree0

An average of one goal every 3 games isn't bad for a striker who doesn't know the league/team or language, yeah he's had suspensions but overall he didn't do as bad as everyone on here wants to try and make out.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll have your season ticket too

Agree0 Disagree0

Osvaldo's gone. I'm officially staking my claim to the season ticket. Hand it over!

3 million for Corky, he`s been priceless for us in these last few games, surely worth more?

COYS

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would have said around 7- 10 million

Agree0 Disagree0

Priceless, we need to retain our best players and Cork is one of our best - excellent distribution, energy and commitment
WillsaSaint

Agree0 Disagree0

Cork is in an awkward position where has has more value to the club then could be realistically sold for. In terms of transfer he is worth no more then £5 million at the absolute most, but if Saints sold him for that they be losing more then they'd get. Still Mopo has said he isn't leaving in the interview yesterday.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is definitely worth more than 5 mill, still young and improving all the time

Agree0 Disagree0

Corky's off this sumner for next to nothing as his contract is running down. Our loss, someone else's gaun

Danny Fox going out and Aron Martin aswell
Same as osvaldo sharp 'Barnard 'lovern & gaston out where's the depth of squad! We go though the same thing every transfer window? all of us watching ssn and combing the Internet looking for little bit of info! All hoping that someone is coming in! Only to have the same thing happen more players out than in! If any!In at all?
How many players have we let go compared to what we have brought in? Go figure!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Another player is jason Puncheon and it Set For Permanent Deal
With palace.

Agree0 Disagree0

Of all the players that have left this window I can't see us missing any of them Ozvaldo included, the Rickie J-Rod partnership was better than anything Ozvaldo could bring to the pitch. Targett will step up for Fox, if the right players are not available then don't buy anyone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't forget that Poch stated that he had 7 kids he felt were ready to step up to first team football.

Matty Target comes in for Fox, Gallagher comes in for Osvaldo
Harrison Reed is in
Lloyd Isgrove is back from injury (who incidentally wasn't mentioned by Poch)

I'm sure he mentioned Jake Flannagan as well, but can't remember who the others were.

Considering it can take a player from other countries a year plus to settle, these kids could be established before an established player.

I for one would far rather prefer to see someone like Targett, Reed, or Gallagher given the chance, than an over-paid, over-inflated Ego on legs.

This is the long term future of Saints, but expect signings in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

The thing is, these 18 year old players aren't fully developed themselves yet. You can see with Shaw that he's visibly got taller and bulkier since last season and as shown by Shaw, playing them too much can lead to injuries, everyone asks why Shaw is always injured and it's because he's not stopped growning yet. They may be more used to the style of play but it's unfair to expect them to play week in week out to the same standard as a player we might sign especially with our style of play

Saints have turned down a £3m offer from Swansea for Jack Cork but might come back in.
Do you think Poch will play JC with big Vic? Jack Cork has brilliant - thought him and Morgan were excellent against Arsenal - just like last season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think Pochettino may have finally realised the value in rotation. Having 3 incredible centre mids means he can rest and rotate to allow reduced injury risks. Everyone needs a game off once in a while especially with our high intensity game. The trio of options is superb and also makes us more adaptable to different teams and their styles.

Agree0 Disagree0

Top player but think he might want a bit more than playing second fiddle to big vic? And who could blame him! Solid pro! Worth keeping.

Agree0 Disagree0

No Poch hasn't, Cork is leaving in the summer, Swansea offered more so get your facts right and Fulham offered £7m plus a player they subsequently sold for £3m in the summer. Cork's value is dropping as his contract runs down but that's no big deal for saints with Big Vic ready to come back. Vic's Poch's man so Corky could score a hatrick, save a penalty and give mouth to mouth resuscitation to Katarina at half time but it won't make a blind bit of difference so I just hope you Vic fans are right

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic win every game in Scotland, great league, enough said.

Agree0 Disagree0

Second fiddle to Big Vic? I give in. Can't pass, can't run, no vision, slow to move and think. Anyone playing second fiddle to Big Vic should be playing for the Dog and Duck. But Poch knows best, give Danny some more time. Oh and Poch is off in the summer, what will we do then

I see Fox has joined Forest

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Best news I've heard in ages - sorry but just didn't rate him - very poor positional play - more emphasis to retain Shaw for the long-term
WillsaSaint

Agree0 Disagree0

You really think Fix going to Forest will keep Shaw (achoo I've got a cold) at Saints? Oh and Ossie is ace

Agree0 Disagree0

Keep taking the tablets

Chelsea willing to sell Lukaku for 20 million. Saints should take that deal

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If that's true then he is worth every penny but won't Everton pay up?

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh please Mr Poch take the money from Osvaldo deal and invest in lukaku he will only get better and still so young?the biggest no brainer ever! Top 6 if we can get him next season who knows maybe top 4! He's been the difference for WBA and Everton seasons?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully Everton won't be able to afford him if he is really for sale

Agree0 Disagree0

Can wesign him befoe now and tommorow because if so then poch and les reed should be straight in asap!

Agree0 Disagree0

No he's on a season long loan

Just been informed Saints have agreed a loan deal with notts forest for Danny fox.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thats one out. Could it be that Osvaldo stays?

Also, do we now sign a left back?

In an early summary then Osvaldo Barnard Sharp and Fox out loan. Lee and Martin had contracts cancelled. Punch and Maka already out on loan. Seems a lot of dead wood being shifted at the moment.

Gazza seems good for a loan and Forte needs to go.

With us fairly safe would not expect a permanent signing but let the likes of Reed Gallagher Targett and Isgrove have a rumble.

What a great time to be Saints supporters. So much as happened in last 4 years but here we are 9th place, talented youngsters coming through and being noticed, our best players on long term contracts, England players amongst the ranks, a few quid behind us, continued backing from the Liebherrs and a manager who has publicly stated he's staying. Let's not sweat things that might not happen and just be delighted to be where we are.
