Hiddink resigning has made me a little nervous.
Hopefully they will find a replacement quickly (who isn't RK) before the media start installing him as one of the favourites for the job.
I don't think he would go yet but it might be unsettling for any potential new signings

Koeman's press conference today was interesting, "no serrious shneiderlin bid" despite the supposed deal to be done today c**p from the press, nothing said on clyne which probably as he's been pictured in Liverpool, said Toby wants to stay but that the difficulty is with Athletico. The last intersting thing was when talking about Juanmi he said that we needed more players to play behind the striker in reference to Juanmi, so I wouldn't rule out signing someone like Austin as we ne need competition for Pelle. As we're likely to use Long, Rodriguez, Mane, Tadic, Juanmi off the striker, we also have Gallagher and would have some serrious depth if we got Austin too, but a striker is hardly a priority at the moment. I think JWP and Davis should be used in deeper roles as I think both would be better there, IMO we should only sign a CDM if Morgan leaves (obviously likely), getting a CB or two has to be the priority

I think there are a few things which have been confirmed with Schneiderlin, the first and most obvious is Saints have agreed that if our value is met we will sell him. And the second is Man United have negotiated with Morgan's agent for terms of a contract. However they clearly have other targets they are trying to secure, whether one is higher up the shortlist than Morgan is debatable. So this one will just be dragging out!

I really think it is time to put the austin rumours to bed. Charlie Austin is a great striker but will only suit ateam in the lower reaches of the Premiership who are looking to play a one dimensional targetman system.

I like to think that here at southampton we have graduated into the multi dimensional upper echelons of the Premiership.

In any event when we do want to play with a solo striker up front I would put my money on JRod outscoring Austin anyway. (providing he can regain the form he showed before injury)

In short I believe we have a varied variety of frontline players to adapt to any given circumstance. let's spend our money where its needed
