From Saints Website: The deal to bring Ram�rez to St Mary's was quickly agreed and processed over ten days ago with a work permit appeal being successfully granted last Friday. SO WE WERE MADE WAITING OVER THE FINER POINTS FOR A WEEK?! This has to have been the most painful transfer saga involving the saints ever. Ramerez has signed and I was just wondering is that business done or do you recon there's more to come before the window shuts. I'd personally like to see a cb that will be with us straight away to replace Fonte and another lb.

Signed at last wow that is going to shut a few people up. I think Ramirez will be a very good investment. Sorry to say but some of our heroes from the 1st and Championship will have to go. We thank you for getting us there, you are all heroes. But now this is serious stuff!

To all other saints fans let get real ramirez is not coming and we are going down we have not signed the players needed to stay up all the other teams have signed better players you can not put all your hope in new players from the youth side it didnt work last time and it will not this time

Well said mate couldn't agree more. lets have some faith in the management they've done a fantastic job to get this club back to where we should be. The signings we've made thus far are very smart signings and lets be honest this is the toughest comp in the world. No easy games at all so lets just enjoy it and have faith that we are on the right path.

Kaka? Del Piero? NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Ramirez and Boillsen would be nice. As for the outs. Guly's apparently facing criminal charges, Hammond, Butterfield and Chaplow, might leave but I think we'd need more central Midfielding cover and De Ridder is injured.

A guy I know is the second physio at Saints. He had just informed me that he's seen Sol Campbell at the training ground this morning. Bit of a shock to say the least....would explain why he has bought a house in basingstoke

According to Metro, Saints enquired with Arsenal about the availability of Theo Walcott. Haven't heard anything more about Matt Phillips so perhaps this could be another massive coup? Walcott has indicated he'd like to sign another deal, but anything can happen on deadline day!
