anyone have a confirmed set of tv listings for southampton games? also seeing a lot that we've bid 4.2m for Sam Byram and he's very close to completion, anyone know anything on that?

Thought the bid for Byram was a while back, and rejected out of hand. Haven't heard of Saints going back.

Sunderland are in for him, supposedly at around £8-9m.

Hi Guys

A great win over the Hammers well done the lads but let's not get carried away here west ham were absolutly dreadful, they got a lucky deflected goal against the run of play and from then on they were on the back foot, their defending and general play can only be described as div 1 at best, my point here is although it was a good win for saints and we deserved the 3 points let's not run away with the idea that were as strong as last season, we were good but the 3-1 score flatters us a bit and we got a long way to go yet to be able to play with the same swagger as last year, but let's hope with a couple of more quality signings were on the right track

maybe not quite so disilusioned

Funny how so many teams play dreadfully against Saints!?

Could it have anything to do with what Saints are doing on the pitch? Three league games so far and in two the opposition have been poor. Seems to be a pattern developing-just like last season.

THANK YOU St Martin!! Why is it that when we play better than a team it was them playing badly. I thought we were far better and didn't give them a chance to play.
I think the players we have bought in have shown great promie and potential (Long still has a way to go to justify his expense but still shows potential).

Saints bid £11.8m for Sadio Mane from Salzburg according to SSN. Man City, Spurs and West were after him earlier this year.

Looks great on video. Was recently suspended for missing training and consequently a game for Salzburg. Could he be the pacey winger we need?

spuds getting a hammering by liverhampton. 3-0 at the moment. It would appear that all our defectors are not exactly enjoying their new environments.
Shaw injured and being pilloried by the press - not going to do the poor kid's confidence much good
Lallana injured and not played yet.
Rickie cameo against us but with the arrival of Ballotelli et al unlikely to get anything more than splinters for the rest of the season.
Lovren playing but blamed for 2 Man City goals
Calum Chambers only one showing good value.
Poxytino won't be there by January so if we can hang on to spider for 2 days that will be good
Townsend on as sub and first thing he does is pass to Moreno on the halfway line Moreno then scores. good job Levy is playing hardball on him.
And for our down and out no hopers a wonderful display that should shut the complaining numpties up. It's been a good week!

Quality performance today and about time we beat the Hammers! Very happy for Shneiderlin too get on the score sheet and ofcourse for Pelle to get his his 2nd goal in 2 matches shame as he looked like the only player onside from his ruled out goal! Tadic looked quality, Yoshida has started the season very well, JWP did well again and Corky had another big impact off the bench as he played a big part in the goal, now let's get a couple of extra players in and we'll be in great shape for the season! Diego Capel has just been linked with a loan move

MOTD still trying to press Spider about his future! He was non committal but the full interview with Roko proves that Roko will not tolerate him leaving SFC.

Personally can't wait until transfer window closes. JRod, Spider Corkie given new contracts! Keep them at SFC and stuff Mopo and Spuds once and for all! We do not want Townsend!

Hopefully today's performance might reduce some of the whingeing for a few hours. I repeat that I think that the board have navigated an unbelievably difficult window, with players wanting to leave and the departure of MP.

Perhaps some posters might post something positive about LR completing the transfers of Tadic and Pelle so effectively.

Do find it frustrating when people read a RUMOUR and then start criticising the board for not having completing the deal more quickly.

a. They're RUMOURS.
b. Players and agents are involved if the rumour happens to be true (it's not football manager on play station).

I wonder how many people will post their apologies to LR and RK if we have a successful season.

Sorry if this sounds like a whinge, but I was being provoked by other whingers!

Have we just employed a new LR? I thought he was previously working with NC, with few if anyone complaining. Now, when he has been saddled with a horror summer he is to blame for everything? I suppose the summer has nothing to do with NC going, then MoPo following, then a group of players refusing to honour their contracts?
And please don't rake up the "bonus" nonsense again. Until there is a legal challenge to that issue-which there won't be-it appears very much smoke and mirrors to justify certain individuals greed.
