That's a shame, we can't give Redknapp any grief and get him sacked - he's done it himself!

I think the "media" has got everyone too hyped up about the January transfer window.

Clubs are much too worldly wide to splash out inflated prices for only moderate talent available. Only the likes of Chelsea can afford to splash out silly money. That's why the Fair Financial play needs greater teeth if we are not to see the same clubs, year on year, at the top of the PL, which quite frankly I'd so boring !

On the SFC front I would like to see the genuine fans get off Pelle, s back. He has played all season with a heavy burden. He is entitled to show the strain at times. We have no back up ! Without his efforts we have no threat, similar at Chelsea without Costa.

We need to encourage and train our attackers to be able to score from 15 to 25 yards out a la Coleman!

Couldn't agree more, what more can Pelle do ? Do you want him to hold the ball up and then pass it to himself and then get in the box to get the ball back from himself and then try to score. He is a top player who is crying out for some help with the load up front. I think it is just very unfortunate that Tadic hasn't turned out to be the player we all thought he was. He needs to be dropped for a couple of games, it might make him think and come back more determined.

Hopefully that is a role our new signing can fulfil chris/gtsaint. otherwise why did we need him? Thought I heard he can play up front too? Mane in the hole works well. better than on wing.

Surprised that the majority of people do not think it was a mistake to let Cork go with reference to the poll, particularly as we failed to sign a replacement, but anyway glad to have signed Bertrand on a permanent deal and it will be interesting to see how Djuicic gets on! Now Spurs have signed Dele Ali does anyone think Mason would be a good signing? Also think we could've done with another RB in Sam Byram maybe, anyway Gallagher played for the under 21's today and Morgan and Wanyama have returned to training so a big boost all round, COYR!!

A mistake to let your 4th, possibly 5th choice DM go? Not at all. We don't need to buy a replacement, we have Reed who is just as good and still improving and we have JWP who plays Cork's role pretty well for the End u21 team and still improving.
Cork is massively over rated by a lot of saints fans and I reckon everyone will see it at swansea

Bertrand signing permanently is a great move, been top quality this season

Djuricic, if he's anything like his YouTube videos will be the signing of the window. Not afraid to run at defenders, got a trick or two and puts some pretty decent finishes away

As for Mason, we don't really need anymore midfielders yet and when we do go after some in the summer they'll be of much better quality ie clasie.
We need better players to come in and improve the standard of the sqaud and push other players on as well as bolstering it. No good to just bring someone in 'as backup' cause all we'll be doing is paying someone, who's not good enough without injuries to other players, to sit on the bench (if they make it that far). Mason would fit into the latter tbh

Byram would have been decent, can only see him moving for first team football though, all depends on Clyne really. Club seems to be content using Yoshida as backup RB and to be fair to him, he's done well.

Good to have players back from injury, missed them vs Swansea.
Like to see Gallagher come on for 20/30 mins a game. Can't be any worse than having a knackered and almost non existent Pellè up front whilst giving him a bit of a rest

Totally agree sainty
Reed was in front of cork and deservably so.
If Gallagher and then Jrod can hit the ground running we still have a chance of top 4.
If not I think we'll end up 7th but mid August I'd have taken that all day long

St Sam has a good point though, we sold Cork and have not replaced him with a similar player. If spider and Victor get injured again then we look light weight in central midfield, re: Swansea - a role I feel Jack could have more than filled if he stayed and was used.
I'm disappointed he has gone, but more disappointed a proven DM wasn't bought in as a replacement
