Anyone know what is happening with Forren (heard he is injured?!) and Mayuka? We spent decent money on them and they're not playing - spoke to Jos on saturday and he said he was injured. Thought Fonte played pretty well on Sat.

I saw forren play last night for u21. had a good game. looks dangerous at set pieces (scored our goal with a volley on edge of 6 yard box). wasnt afraid to shoot from distance too. could see him in 1st team soon. people have to remember we signed him at very end of norwegian season, so having his pre-season now

From the OS;
Hunter was especially pleased with the performance of Forren, who was making his first appearance for Saints at any level since signing for the Club in mid-January.
"He's settled in really well, " Martin said of the Norwegian international. "He was defensively assured and particularly good in possession of the ball, and to get a goal off the set-play was very good.
"He's a good technician but he's obviously lacking match practice and that's why the senior management team wanted him to play. "

Ref QPR game. As much as I like to see attacking flair football, it's obvious we have no plan B game if things aren't going our way. It's ok if you're Barcelona or Real and know how to sustain attacking play but our defense is not good enough to be left as exposed as they are. This concerns me and reminds me of the Keegan theory of "they score 3, we'll score 4".
Some games we'll get away with it but teams hae already figured out how to beat us by exposing the huge area between defense and midfield.
Fingers crossed for safety and think we'll be just about ok but talk of European football is wide of he mark as we're in a relegation scrap!
However, I'll continue to back my team and keep believing.

Who has been talking of European football this season?

What is this mythical "Plan B" thing? Burley, Pardew, Adkins, and now Pochettino have all been accused of having no Plan B, but I've never heard one of their accusers say what should have been done instead. Wasn't introducing Ward-Prowse for Ramirez part of a Plan B? Wasn't going to three at the back and moving Fonte up front part of a Plan B?

Adkins plan B seemed to consist of leaving Rickie or Gaston out of the starting line up!

A plan b is having another string to your bow when all-out attack isn't working! Ie being 2-1 up away to Wigan, still pushing for a 3rd goal instead of running the clock down with possession football and gaining 3 valuable points perhaps!

What does that have to do with the QPR game, then?

It's a classic example of a us not having many strings to our bow. This plan was also our downfall against qpr hence the relevance.

One win in 7 games. Not good enough.
