We're in trouble again now, Wigan have pulled off the incredible again. We need to see them lose their game in hand and we need to go out and beat Sunderland AND Stoke to really be sure of ourselves. I am actually beginning to get the feeling we are in for the drop having done so much so well this season. Hope to be proven wrong here but. Really luck is something we aren't getting again now.

The games we threw away at stoke and wigan are going to bite us on the a. e

Agree0 Disagree0

Not at all worried, Norwich have to play man city, Newcastle have to play arsenal, were four points above wigan who have to go to arsenal. And let's say if we get one more point at Sunderland we should draw level with Aston villa who have to play Chelsea. If aston villa lose they need to get one more point to draw level with us, they play wigan on the final day so a draw probably won't be enough for wigan but a win for wigan would see them overtake us however a lose for aston villa isn't enough. so 1 more point is enough

Agree0 Disagree0

I am confident we can beat stoke on the final day of the season. Not that I want to look at other teams fixtures, but Norwich have got to play West Brom and Man City. Wigan have still got to play Arsenal away and I also believe Newcastle are in a spot of bother

Squeeky bum time!!

Anyone else a tad worried now? 4 points of Wigan, who always pull the cat out the bag. Sunderland with Di Canio's new vigour to back them, Villa seemingly safe now.

Perhaps I'm just tetchy. Anyone else's thoughts on this?

I am a bit worried with Sunderland playing Stoke on Monday but Wigan have Swansea and Arsenal next then Villa on final day. I don't really see them getting points from any of them but of course you never know in football. We have Sunderland and Stoke next. Two very winnable games. This seasons PL is the closest iv seen!

Concerned? You betcha!

Never count yer chickens etc and until it is mathematically impossible to be relegated, we can be relegated.

However, it ain't over yet and the teams around us each have to play a top 5 team in their last games - and that may just be our saving.

The way I see it, it's like this (please feel free to differ - not 'fact' as per plonker above) and yes, I've left those just above us out of this even thought there's only one point in it).

N'castle - 3pts against QPR? Maybe, but QPR may just fight not to end up bottom so maybe 0pts for the visitors, but let's give them 1pt. And 0pts against Arsenal for their last match, who will be fighting tooth and nail for a CL spot.

Norwich - If WBA play against them as us, then maybe 0pts, but let's give them a draw, but again 0pts against Man City, which is their last match.

Sun'land - if they draw against Stoke, they're the same as us, so a definite 6 pointer for us next week, but let's say another draw for that one. But their last game is against Spurs, who will want to win to do it to Arsenal. So, 2 pts out of 9?

Wigan - defy prediction really, goddamthem! If they draw against the Swans, that puts them 3 pts behind us with an away to Arsenal (0pts) and a home to Villa - let's get them a home win for that.

So, we have N'castle on 39pts, Norwich on 39pts and Wigan on 39pts. Sun'land on 40pts.

This makes us all very much same, but thankfully, our goal difference is so much better than the teams just below us!.

I believe we will get at least 1pt from the next two games, quite possibly 3 or 4, so, chances are we'll creep over the line rather than gallop but any team on less than 44 points could, theoretically, still be relegated - and that's from 9th downwards, which in itself is pretty amazing.

Will it be N'castle with their poorer goal difference for the drop with Reading and QPR? Only time will tell!

But it's going to be a stressed out fortnight, that's for sure.

Damn trickysaint you're keen
got to say though it does look about right overall for all the options that is.
tetchy yes but still think we'll stay up.

Not a plonker at all
just fact saints are
nowhere near safe
that is reality
your just relying on
everybody else last two
results have been terrible
and don't hold my breath
for the next two either

Agree0 Disagree0

We just need to play like we do against big teams against the small teams. So frustrating that we couldn't beat the likes of QPR and West Ham at home, but the only thing we can do is keep positive and get behind the team, especially at a packed St Marys against Stoke!

Agree0 Disagree0

Villa seemingly safe and were not? there only a point ahead

Agree0 Disagree0

We're only 1 certain point above the drop though, If Sunderland and Wigan win their games in hand on us then there is very little room for error.

Agree0 Disagree0

Exciting, ain't it? Just like the old days. Which is primarily why I back Cortese. I don't want to go back to the old days of fighting relegation virtually every bloody season. Le God may have loved it but I didn't. I suggest plonker goes and supports Reading 'cos we really don't need that sort of negativity at St Mary's, particularly at present. 1-0 defeat away to Gareth Bale ain't terrible, fact.

Agree0 Disagree0

3 0 home to wba is a bad
result whatever way you
look at it

Agree0 Disagree0

Not concerned at all we have been playing well and we have a better goal difference than most and we can win the last two games easy should get at least 4 points come on you saints
