Honestly it's like dejavu. desperate for a new striker. we were here last year. we will do ok . eventually . It comes down to again the acceptance that we will do ok over we done really well. Euro, cup, league . we will do ok.

imo, considering 6 years ago we started on -10 in league 1 and this season we had our highest ever points total after 10 games we're doing more than 'ok'

even so every season that goes by 'ok' becomes a higher position in the table (because we are progressing)

12/13 we finished 14th which was 'ok' considering iirc we were the first team to survive after picking up 15 points or less before xmas
13/14 was 'ok' finished 8th but there was no real threat of us getting into europe or winning a cup
14/15 was 'ok' made europe but it could have been a lot more

now 15/16 we've got our highest ever points total after 10 games and realistically could beat our highest points total again but it will forever be an 'ok' season, no matter how well we do because it doesn't have that 'romantic' factor of losing a load of players and still being contenders for champions league with 10 games to go.

Bit controversal but, Is Koeman the right man, some strange subs/tactics etc no plan B, i'm always behind saints so all you do gooders pipe down just curious on peoples opinions.

Koeman is the right man. We have always packed someone who can threaten with speed breaking into the penalty area. That's a Vardy for you.

We are OK with possession but cannot turn possession into goals. We are out of the CC now, never going to get into Europe, so we need to know how to ground out results if we cannot find a striker in the January Transfer window.

Saint U21 just beat a very good Spurs U 21 team - many of whom have played Prem this season - my one issue with Koeman is he has not played U21 players enough - we do have pace and ability in the current U21 team - but we need to use players to see if they can handle the step up to full professional senior leagues - who were Deli Ali / Harry Kane / Ryan Mason 2 years ago?
