Here is an intersting propostition, why not look t little old owen hargreaves, saints are lacking experiecnce in the team, he is a free agnt and currently injury free, is it worth taking a punt on hi on a pay as you play deal... will always put in a shift, great on the ball and a great role model for players like morgan and cork to learn from.

Sorry, if Saints want to bring through 50% of their own youngsters why start to look at injury prone guys? What sort of message would this give to JWP etc?

This isn't really Southampton related but if you think back to the summer you might find this in some way amusing.
Apparently Manchester United are already looking to sell Alexander Buttner as they think he won't be able to crack it in English football and just isn't good enough.

He has looked pants for Man. Utd. so far and tried to stitch up Saints on his contract.
If you burn your bridges with NC make sure you are good enough to show you took the right route.
