SSN report Astori agent says the player interested in Saints and wouldn't have an issue with playing abroad but concedes our bid falls short of Cagliari's valuation of 12 mill.

£12M is OTT, doubt NC will go for that

Agree0 Disagree1

I think there is some confusion between Euros and Sterling going on here-as was the case with Ramirez!

So Cagliari want a few million more... I don't see why we don't just pay the £12m and get him asap, a few extra million isn't gonna affect our financial situation and although 1 defender isn't going to decide whether we stay up or not, he looks to have the qualities to seriously help us avoid relegation, which would cost us a lot more financially.

I think we should offer the 10 million they initially asked for. I think them upping the asking price to 12 million was so Cortese would stop being cheap in their eyes but still look like getting a bargain at their original asking price.

Quite simply, leave it to NC. He will know what the player is worth to Saints and at what stage his club are starting to take the ****.

No negotiation can be done by people outside of the deal, we don't have a clue what other options NC has and whether Cagliari are playing harder now they know we have a CB injured.

And don't forget, what NC does in one deal could easily impact on other dealshe is working on.

Much as I would like to get this deal done, think we could get a couple of centre backs for that money.

Sky sports jouro says he will have something on Astori 'soon' no idea how long soon is but we shall see. He also said that he hasn't heard anything on Coutinho, but that doesn't mean it won't happen

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not heard anything on him all day on skysports yet.

I was just wandering that if bent is not in favour at Aston Villa, is it worth making a move. Obviously a CB is our main priority and I'm hoping these Astori rumours are true.

Not sure Bent is worth a shot. I mean we have got good strikers and he could just wind up straight on our bench too and that'd be a bit of a waste.
