Gaston Ramirez has come out an said he is happy at saints and does not want to leave. Is this a good thing as I think he isn't the best
He's taken a while to adjust, but remember, he's a young player and has shown certain moments of class this season. I think next season he could come good. Definitely not worth writing him off because we have got a lot worse options.
I feel he shows tremendous ability but has found the EPL a little difficult to adjust to, and maybe on a slightly different wavelength to his team mates.
Don't see that as a problem. With several additions in the summer and a lot more time to work as a group on MPs requirements I think he could look exceptional next season.

Gaston hasn't had the season I'm sure a lot of us saints fans thought but you have to bare in mind its a new league a new place and he also had a family issue so we should give the benefit he looks good in parts and I agree we bring a bit more talent we'll see players like ramirez really shine
I don't think he is that good though he wants to be a first team player but he got himself sent off for a reaction that he should of never done
Still quite young and as we found from last season he was quite immature. Should grow under MP though
I would rather we make 3 or 4 signings only, not several
The reason I posted "several" is that I believe the squad would only take two quality additions to be pretty certain of a top 8 finish next season. A CB who can organise the younger players around the defensive positions and prevent anxiety taking hold when the side come under pressure, and a striker who has the clinical finishing that can start to capitalise on the 15-20 chances the side have been making per game. Lambert is superb but if other players continue to try to feed him rather than make use of the space he creates and then put the ball in the net themselves other teams will work it out. MP has hinted himself that these are areas to be strengthened.
However, I suspect also your point may be correct in that NC is in a hurry and if the opportunity arises will add more than that.
Also, having invested so heavily in the youth set up and with MP now with us, I would be surprised if there was not a serious focus on adding to the high quality youngsters already at the club.
But we could all be fooled as the clubs policy is to keep its real intentions pretty quiet and we all have to rely on pretty limited information.
The direction of travel so far, and a few hints towards the end of the season do give a few clues, I believe.
