It was good to hear from Koeman after the Swindon game. It is interesting to read that the Lovren deal is no where near getting off the ground as yet, and that he's prepared to play him if nobody actually puts a bid in!
Osvaldo is going, that he confirmed, they just need to find someone who wants him.
As far as replacements go, I think we need to think beyond the obvious. I'm not convinced by Caulker, yet another over-rated English player. If he was any other nationality he wouldn't be worth more than 2 million.
If the world cup showed us anything, it's that there isn't an abundance of quality centre backs out there, and those that are good will command a huge fee.
1.) Thought our best players last night were our two right backs; Clyne & Chambers. Fonte played well, Pelle and Harrison Reed also. Sam Gallagher played well too when he came on. Didn't think much of Mayuka last night.
2.) Pelle's hold up play was brilliant, Tadic, Ramirez and J-Rod and whoever else we buy will love playing off've him this season. Mayuka's looked bright, just needs to find his shooting boots. McQueen will be something special if he can develop his right foot some more
I agree with NorthShore 100% on Caulker, pretty much every young English player linked with us is highly over rated and over priced.

12 million seems steep! I would have taken him for 5, I think with the right sort of service, which he lacked big time at Hull, he could do a real job. He's ROI's answer to Dirk Kuyt! You could put him anywhere on the field and he would put his heart and sole into doing the best he can. Get Dusan, JWP, Taider etc giving him the service and let's see what he can do!

Happened before and the team got a 15K Euro fine. Legia won't be knocked out. Don't know how I feel about these signings, would be good to have more cover in both positions though.
Thought he looked really good a the WC. Go get him RK!
Borini is no good. Our biggest complaint last year was that we didn't convert enough chances, Borini is not the man to do that.
Wickham has potential, but I'm not convinced he's much better than what we've already got at the club!
