Interested to see everyone's thoughts on the January transfer window.
IF we keep all our players fit and injury free, would you still like to see Koeman bring anyone else in? Or in fact would like to see anyone leave?
At the age of 30 this is the first time I look at our bench and actually see a full bench of talent that can come on a change a game, not just one or two players.
Maybe the only problem I can see is a back up goalkeeper?!?

Doesn't look as if Artur is wanting a new contract (or the one that Saints would be willing to offer) so I agree with you on the GK, and I think this would fit with the strengthening of the GK coaching.
With Jay Rod and JWP to return I think the only other area would be a young version of Tadic. Tadic will get targeted and his loss to injury could be difficult to replace within the current squad.
Suspect Osvaldo will not return and also doubtful Ramirez will.
Beyond that I would not expect too many other moves. Maintaining the opportunity for the youngsters to develop into the first team squad will preclude stocking up that squad with too many new signings that may block their opportunities.

What can we say? I know it's early doors but I for one am extremely excited about the players we bought in this summer.
Tadic looks like the sign of the summer, Pelle looks like now he's started scoring there will be no stopping him, bringing in 2 possible world class players this evening and every position covered with quality, experience and youth.
Who here has to admit they were impatient, negative and damn right pee'd off with our club this summer?
I was one of these people but now I am glad to say I can eat my own words and be proud of our club.
I'm so excited for this season and after much negativity we have a strong standing SQUAD who all look like they are out to play for the club and each other.
Finish above spurs, a terrible seasons for Lovren and Llalana and this could be the best season ever ;o)
COYR!
1.) I will be a lot happier when Toby A and Sadio Mane are actually unveiled and not press speculation.
Only then will I be upbeat about this season and the job that the board are doing!

If we had a Suarez we would be in the top 4 easily this season, but unfortunately we don't.
This to me tells me more than anything else that we need a world class striker.
Yes we need a center back and a goalkeeper but look at how many goals Liverpool have conceded this season, which is only 1 less than us.
They play a very similar style and the same formation yet they put away chances.
Even if we only signed a world class striker in the window and no one left I would be happy with that.
Thoughts?
1.) A top-class finisher with pace and vision is definitely a major missing element in the team. Unfortunately, world-class strikers are hard to come by.
2.) Liverpools weakness is in their defense and it's why they haven't already won the title, plus realistically we're not going to sign someone as good as Suarez, I think a GK and CB are more of a priority than a striker, but I think one of each would be good!

He said on twitter earlier that he wished someone let him know about these supposed transfers. Either it's rubbish or a double bluff
Even better than last season? That's a bold statement considering teams take a while to gel.
Look at Tottenham last season. We would have been delighted to have signed the caliber of players they did yet most of them were flops and the team struggled massively for their expectations.
Our team last season had a real core of players willing to work hard for eachother. The pre season last year was eveident of that looking back at the videos that were posted online.
The camaraderie and team spirit was excellent so to emulate that with a complete brand new breed of players and the unrest in the camp over the past 6 weeks will be hard to beat.
I hope I eat my own words, it's just I can't see us being any better than last season. maybe Roko is a genius and will prove me wrong?!?

Fonte is a great servant and very loyal but he made a few costly errors last season. Not sure he's good enough for the prem let alone captain the side

I love the way people get excited over being offered a new contract. Guess who signed a new contract last summer on his 18th birthday.

If arsenal win 7th is fine. If villa win 6th will only do I believe

You forgot £20 million for spider
Jesus, who really cares?
Cork leaving in the summer? Ok then :-/
If you're picking on form then why Clyne? Every fan loves their own club but that's being slightly biased considering Chambers has been keeping him out the side.
