A private plane from Italy is expected in Southampton airport at 20:00 tonight?
Could this be osvaldo?

Saintkk

1.) Prefer Destro, Lamela, Belfodil, Muriel, Livaja, Gabbiadini, Paloschi, Ibarbo, Sau, Dybala, Hernandez. Just to name a few. Basically can be loads of people.

2.) Mmmmm sounds like the Pope coming to give a few blessings!1

3.) And how do you know this private plane is coming in at 8?

4.) No coz he was with Roma in america

5.) Bet some gullible fan is up in viewing gallery right niw waiting for this make believe flight to arrive lol

6.) Osvaldo is expected to be playing for Italy in place of Ballotelli so very much dought he will be signging anytime soon.

7.) Because I work at the airport.
Just finished work now.
A private plane did land but it was not osvaldo lol.
But was someone and met by security and huge black range rover.

8.) Anyone else imagining a certain persons boat being seen in southampton a few years ago.

What a steaming pile of poo

9.) It's not uncommon for a private plane to arrive at an airport. Doesn't mean a player necessarily.

10.) The private plane seemed to have Flybe written on the side of it.

11.) Hes a bit of a bad boy though isn't he

Just reading papers today that nigel adkins wants rickie lambert?
Will this happen?

Saintkk

1.) It wouldn't make sense this season to get rid of the top English striker in the premiership. He still has a lot to offer us and will def stay.

2.) Even if we sign another striker it is important we have more than one choice. With squad rotation and going for cups I think a deep squad is even more important.

3.) No it won't. I want cheryl coal that won't happen eather.

4.) Of course not. Lambert is one of our best players and won't sacrifice his Premiership place to join Reading. Also we have no reason really to sell our top goal scorer with no replacement lined up who knows the squad well.

5.) Top English striker in the Premier league! Really? What about Sturridge, Rooney, Walcott among more!

6.) He was the top English striker in the Prem last season I believe. hence "top english striker". So yes he was a better goal scorer than the likes of Rooney last season. Proven fact. end of!

7.) ^ clearly he meant top goal scoring English striker, which Lambert was.

8.) :L the comment above made me laugh Rooney, Sturridge and Walcott didn't beat lambert this year he had fifteen Goals Joint top English premiership Goal Scorer with Lampard, Rooney didn't score many 8 or something (correct me if I am wrong) Sturridge didn't score more than him either and Walcott scored 13-14 last season? but yeah lambert and Lampard where the top English goal scorers last season! you have no argument against him not being up their :L doesn't mean he will be as good this season but for some reason lambert never really shows up at pre season games. but when he is on the pitch for a premiership game I wouldn't swap him for Rooney, Sturridge or Walcott! Just my opinion though

9.) May not be the best English striker but scored the most goals of an English player only drawing with lampard who is a midfielder, and scoring is what strikers do! Plus he plays for Southampton who do create less chances than teams like man u or Chelsea!

10.) You wouldn't swap him for rooney?! I will go out on a limb and say that you may be slightly biased there ;)

11.) Just beats me why people keep on
about world class rooney
he is not world class and never will be
just a money grabber

12.) Personally I'd be stunned if RL didn't see out the end of his career with Saints & then stay on in a coaching capacity. He has proved to be a loyal servant for the club which I fully expect the club to repay. Yes, we would make a massive profit if we sold him at his peak but the fans backlash would probably be worse than the Nigel Adkins shocker. Also, even as age creeps up on Rickie, we could still wheel him on for cup games & he would still deliver the goods. BTW, I still think he will deliver the goods for us in the premiership in the coming seasons! Not only do we have a process for developing young talent through the academy but we also are starting to use the experience of outgoing players to help them ala Kelvin Davies & Jaidhi

13.) Just a thought about Rickie. Most strikers are getting past it by 30 or so but, that is normally because they had pace and get slower as they get older. Rickie bless him has never been blessed with speed so I think age is irrelevant in his case. What he has got is great technical ability for a big fella and an amazing reading of the game. He will be fine for us for another season or more and still be at the top of his game. Worth bringing him on later in the game as he gets older, he would still be a great impact player. He is 3 times the player he was four years ago when he came from Bristol Rovers. Club man through and through and a credit to the game.

14.) How dillusional does an individual have to be to consider wellbeck a "top english striker"? what an unbeliveable comment, I would genuinly like to know if there has EVER been a player that plays for a top club in any division and have an entire seasons league goal return of. 1. yes 1??

st stuie

15.) No one said Welbeck, mate. except for that media puppet England manager.

The players mentioned are different and hard to compare. But stats prove Rickie is more dangerous with goals and assists at a club not equipped with numerous so-called world class team mates.

16.) I don't see why we should need a new striker, Mayuka could improve if he gets more playing time and rodriguez is still young, lambert was the top english goal scorer he's still got atleast one season left

Sky soarces also say inter Milan are interested in signing Gaston Ramirez : (

Saintkk

1.) Equally happy for him to stay as would be for him to go.

2.) No his agent is doing all the talking. Another greedy agent by the sounds of it lol

3.) Well, to give Gaston credit, he has shown loyalty and already rejected Atletico Madrid. Plus, he is back training with the squad now and seems to be behaving himself by not making any trouble with the club. He is under contract to Southampton, so Inter would need to make us an acceptable offer to allow us to secure a replacement. If this were to happen and we were to let Gaston go, we might possibly have the funds to buy Oxlade Chamberlain back from Arsenal, or bring in Ever Banega from Valencia. Or maybe BOTH! ;)

4.) Its all BS gaston is at the training camp in spain!

5.) This Inter story came up two weeks ago. Gaston is not going anywhere

6.) Not a geeat loss. Very over rated!

7.) Enough with the old stories, guys. It's boring. Gastòn has said he's staying, and MP has also said that. He is a part of the future, and as he settles in and avoids injuries he'll be better.

8.) At least it ain't super sniderlin. Would be gutted if it was but would be ok for Ramirez to go if that's what he wants!

9.) He had a bad season in places for a number of reasons including family bereavement. Yet still showed moments of absolute class. I think that with a bit of fitness, he could prove to be real class.
It always takes time for people to earn the EPL route. That doesn't make him over rated. and he scored more goals than people worth a hell of a lot more than him.

10.) I think he will have a great season if he stays this year. He know knows what the PL is all about

11.) Agent doing there work, in all fairness. Keeping his stock high. Gaston had a unremarkable season last term for him to warrent a £13m can only be good news. He won't be leaving unless we want to get rid of him anyhow. P. S talk of getting the Ox back is just embarrassing

12.) Think he will stay he has said he wants to do better he has joined up with first team in spain and is training. Although it was posted on skysports today that inter are interested

I don't think this will happen. But I do think we desperately need a striker. Rickie did struggle when mopo took over to find the back of the net. Maybe a Defoe type player to get us 15-20 goals aswell as Rickies 10+ that he will get. Plus at least 10+ from other positions.

He would be a decent signing. Plays left and right back
