Regarding outs: expect Jason Puncheon, Lee Barnard and Ryan Dickson to all leave in the next two weeks to lower league clubs. (One of which is Sheffield Wednesday).
Ins:
Alex Buttner deal will be announced tomorrow having had the 'third-party issue' resolved.
The Saints are still very much in the race to sign Jack Butland, despite being YET to make an official bid.Southampton Insider

Is that from a reliable source chalkie? or just talk, cos id love ince infront of buttner, corr the left side would be amazing, then if we sign clyne and zaha, right side would be amazing, then just a goalkeeper and a decent defender and with the team we'd have, id like to see a top 10 finish

Young goalkeeper on trial after leaving Ipswich by the name of Cropper seams to have left a few Ipswich fans miffed. He's only 18 and ITFC fans thought he had potential. Wonder if we'll sign him?

He is actually 20 now! And he will be our reserve goalkeeper at best and that's if we sign him, he's fairly average keep tbh

He's actually 19 and a USA u20 keeper. USA have produced a few good keepers over the years. I'm optimistic he'll be a good third choice.

my sources suggest cortese is likely to still carry on with the buttner deal even after the "third party" situation. However a move for a different goalkeeper has been kept quiet discounting butland .right back the likes of simpson and clyne have been said but i believe saints will look to europe for this position.cb there seems to be a possible move for a prem centre back as saints feel they would need this at the back will post when get more names

Now here's a post which at least shows some original thinking! Think I agree with most of your comments but I do have a feeling a CB could come fromEurope. Saints style of play looks to the CBs being comfortable on the ball and able to play out from the back with a skill level that is not readily found in our home grown centre backs.
I also suspect for the supporters who are becoming anxious about signings (why-we have almost completed 3 quality signings, following the two at Christmas), that Saturday may be used as an occasion to make some announcement(s). It would tie in with the day itself and link well to next weeks training camp. Time will tell.

Yh i feel that the cb would be more experienced at a high level as we dont need a young one as we got martin to come through

Kyle Naughton to Saints 5mil, any truth in this
Summers

Not heard much about it myself.
Potentially true though. RB is a position we need filling and Kyle Naughton fits the mould of players we are after and he would probably appreciate being part of the new Saints.
£5 million might seem quite steep too for NA/NC, think we could get a European RB of a similar stature for half of that.

If i'm honest right he's a good player if we get him, he will do to stay in the premier league for a few years, so we gradually build a better team! though i know from talking to Nigel Adkins personally he is aim top this season, talk about confidence! but that's what we need when playing at the top leave of football. i also talked to Lallana, Lambert, Shaw and Cork! plus Andrew Surman who still comes down to Southampton to see his family, but they all said bar Surman, that we should watchout for big buys! Though when i talked to Surman he was saying how much he wants to come back and how much he loves the club! feel for the guy because he loves it down here, but i dont think he'll ever get the chance to play in a Saints shirt again :( much love Surman a true Southampton Player through and through, would love to see you in red and white again but we are moving forward now to bigger and better things

Nile Ranger from Newcastle a good source up in tynside has told me alot of talk at Newcastle of him coming to Saints on a season loan deal. This is due to he has burnt so many bridges up there.

He 'burnt bridges' down here, hence why he went to newcastle in the first place. ridiculous post.
