Peter Whittingham is being tracked by Southampton. Adkins thinks he is the perfect playmaker for his side's first campaign in the premier league. Bids have yet to be made, but Adkins is believed to be keen on the player.

Not exactly reliable, but a few people seem to have seen Whittingham at SMS today, but I didn't. so take it as you will. Could be nothing :)

He will not go to southamption just signed new long term contract last year with cardiff plus he won't sign for southamption half way thrugh play offs

Would like a bit more pace. Whittingham is class but in much the same vein as Lallana, would like to see a young fast player like Matt Phillips, Hoilett, Tom Ince, Zaha etc.

David Connolly has already been told by Saints that his contract will not be renewed. He has been doing his coaching badges so is looking to find a job off the field somewhere.

Personaly i hope he gets a pay as you play deal. Allways a threat to bring off the bench in the last 20 mins, and would be on tiny wages to. Can deffo still do a job, was allways injured

Dont forget that the EPL has a limit to the number of players you can register. Wouldnt want connolly taking up the space of another striker out of sentiment.
