Starting to look like osvaldo could be wearing the 11 shirt. COYR

Believable7 Unbelievable5

Spurs looking at him now as well as lemela or however you spell it

Agree4 Disagree5

He'll go to spurs

Agree6 Disagree6

Anyone else not want another striker now? get in Rickie.

Agree6 Disagree4

Not really sure Spurs would buy Osvaldo as well as Soldado. At least, not without selling Bale first. Their interest in Lamela is real though.

Agree7 Disagree0

I would be annoyed if Spurs got Lamela because we didn't even manage to get a bid accepted for him and we could probably go higher than them.

Agree2 Disagree4

We won't be able to go higher than spurs if they sell bale. good bit of business for them if they were to get lamela. still reckon we'll get osvaldo tho.

Agree3 Disagree2

If they sell Bale most the money will go to infrastructure not transfer budget. Plus I really can't see them selling Bale at this point. It probably will happen in January or next summer.

Agree0 Disagree3

Yes, Osvaldo will go to Spurs, just like Gaston Ramirez did!

Oh, hang on.

Agree2 Disagree0

Looking at what spurs have done this window it looks like they've nearly already spend all of the bale money anyway!

Dharmesh Sheth reports that Southampton are closing in on the signing of high profile target Pablo Osvaldo according to 'sky sources'. I would say that, in the very least, this makes it credible. Whether or not he will actually come is another matter.

Inter Milan are also in the hunt for Osvaldo according to Italian media. Isn't this where he really wants to play?

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Yes it is, also quite likely he will wind up at Inter.

Agree7 Disagree3

Apparently we have offered more, but if inter make an improved bid they would have him for sure

Agree4 Disagree4

But Roma don't won't to sell to a rival
and are even willing to lower price tag to make it so apparently

According to a number of Italian reports, Saints have offered improved personal terms to Osvaldo (some saying £3m in bonuses) should be resolved in 2-3 days either way. I have no idea about fee, but seems that has already been agreed. Could be anything from £7m - £20m

Mini-Saint

Believable5 Unbelievable2

I can't imagine anyone would get an offer with that much in bonuses from our football club.

Agree2 Disagree4

I can't understand why Saints don't go for a player like Jordan Rhodes? I know he's played at a lower level, but his strike rate is amazing and we're looking for someone to play understudy to SRL while also earning their stripes - Seems perfect to me.

Agree4 Disagree5

^ Might as well keep Billy Sharp if that's our mindset. Jordan Rhodes won't help us get to the next level.

Agree3 Disagree2

I do like Rhodes and think he will be a great player but that's what jay rod and mayuka are for, the soon to be good strikers

Agree2 Disagree1

We won't go for Jordan Rhodes or similar because we have moved on in terms of the quality of player that we sign. Wanyama, Lovren and the talent we already have will help us achieve the higher league finish that we need to then attract even better players and achieve our ambitions.

Optimistic Saint

Agree3 Disagree1

I think Rhodes would he's great young player who scores a lot of goals, he's only 23 so has a lot of potential to be good enough for our first team and if not he could be even better than our first team! But Obsvaldo make sence as he has played under Pochettino before, he plays a similar role to Ricky and he's proven in La Liga, Serrie A and at international level and I think they would both cost around 8m so fair enough and Obsvaldo would be a quality signing! I would be sad to see Ricky being left on the bench because of him though :/

Agree2 Disagree0

Jay-Rod is better than Rhodes. paying anything for Rhodes would be waisted money. we also need SOME experience in the team/dressing room

Sky italia are now actually reporting that saints have offered an improved contract to osvaldo after he turned us down

Sorry to post another osvaldo story

Believable5 Unbelievable3

It's Sky Italia's fault. So tired of the Osvaldo saga.

Agree5 Disagree1

No you're not.

Agree5 Disagree3

I have a lad, I used to coach, out in Italy, and yes the Italian press are linking us, but Inter are favourites apparently! However, He is quiet interested in the Prem, If he has to leave, He wants World Cup next year!
