I think Zaha was BS, Clyne could sign this week and meet up with the team in France later on and Buttner is in the same place last week which was its Saints' decision
Will get zaha for about 10 mil, he's way overpriced after 1 good season in the fizzy pop so thats not gonna happen. Clyne is interesting a few clubs and palace are not gonna sell for 1.5 mil. Its only been reported in the sun so no real substance in the rumour? Apparently buttner's head has been turned by another club even though Vitesse what the deal to go through so this is also far from being a done deal

The most that anyone has recieved from a tribunial is 1m. Its compensation not market value. its going to be more about where the player wants to go.
Clyne is a free agent so Palace can't demand a transfer fee. They are entitled to compensation as he was in the youth team but if there is a dispute on this then it goes to a tribunal. In my opinion Saints will offer £1.5 million and the tribunal will set a fee between £1.5 and £2.5 - a bargain and clever business yet again by NC.

Well, we have got only 1 keeper - Fivepast doesn't count at all after this weekend's memorial cup. Also, CB is an issue, as Seaborne, Fonte and Jos are not all of sufficient quality to last a whole season and we have ZERO backups. Midfield is good, and I don't like puncheon, but he did shine on the weekend. Up front, I think we have got it covered with Sharpedo, JayRod, Rickie and lee, and also we have Guly - who for all his flaws and marmite reaction inducing powers - actually scores some good and useful goals! I think we would scrap to survive as it stands; but the second Kelvin gets injured we will start shipping 8 goals a game.
Good summary there, although Jack Stephens was class at Centre Back.
I'll be surprised if we don't see a lot of him
Obviously, there is a new GK on the way. You just have to read Kelvin's piece on Saints OS where he is talking about pre-season, and is reported to say "he fully expects to be challenging a new shot stopper for his shirt in the near future. Whoever it is will be welcomed..."
Now, that is more than a hint, isn't it?
Let's just wait and see-it is not a situation that is desperate to cover early in pre-season, and I suspect energies are being prioritised elsewhere.

Not sure how true this is. but one of my sorces in scotland have told me that saints are wanting celtic pair charlie mulgrew and beram kayal.
so far my sorces have been 100% when i broke the davis move a month before it happened, and also the breakdown of buttners deal.. watch this space - chris
Chris - i'm hearing that we have expressed concerns over the 3rd party payments on the Buttner deal as we could end up paying out some way down the line and this is a show stopper, i understand they we have said if it isn't resolved by close today then it will not happen, also there maybe something in Safari LWB for Anderlect that played on Saturday?
There is also a lot of rumours flying about regarding Lennon on loan
