The Livorno President has confirmed we are one of three or four EPL teams after Paulinio who scored 15 times in 35 apps

Believable5 Unbelievable1

I wonder if our interest will continue now that we've signed Pelle.

Agree2 Disagree1

Probably means Liverpool will buy him lmao.

I still believe that Connor Wickham would fit in well at saints, not signing a new contract unhappy at sunderland. go get him Ronnie LOL

Agree5 Disagree3

Sotonic - we still need another striker if not 2! mayuka and sharp are just not good enough for a top 10 aiming team. a lot of love for billy sharp but that is the truth i'm afraid

Agree5 Disagree2

We lost one striker, and we signed one. We'll get Rodriguez back and Gallagher is a decent option on the bench. Just saying that I'm not certain that we do need another striker. Maybe a promising youngster, but not necessarily another multi-million pound deal.

Agree2 Disagree4

Sharp will score goals in any league, he's not going to hit double numers but will score non the less, mayuka is a really fast runner lol

Agree3 Disagree2

Sharp & mayuka could do alright for us in the early stages of the cup rounds. we need to build strength in depth with players that are going to be ok sat on the bench for most of the season but get a run out against lower league opposition in cup games to rest the better players

Agree2 Disagree3

May be more plausible to sell him rather than loan. If we are in the market for a new keeper with number 1 potential, bearing in mind we are reportedly looking at Marshall or Forster. Davies will make a great number 3 in his final season maybe 2, with cropper developing nicely we seem pretty set at GK for the next few years.

Apparently we are fighting with a couple of teams for leonel vangioni who can play midfield or defence. Reported in a newspaper

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Dear God I hope so! This guy will make luke shaw look like a Sunday league player think Roberto Carlos on steroids
Looks like a £30/£40m player check him out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why was this guy was not at the World Cup they might have won it! And with a great price tag to boot! Get him sighned big Ron! I'd go over and give a piggy back ride to St Mary's
This is Southampton and we are the Saints!

Agree4 Disagree5

I take it your a fan of his then Anticlapper?

Wow. I'm guessing you rate this fella

Agree3 Disagree1

I was hoping that Koeman would go for Murru or Kolodziejczak

Agree2 Disagree1

The Leonel Vangioni rumour was in the Italian press last night, looks a good player but I would worry that he is a long way from home & would imagine at 27 would be a big gamble for saints. I personally would rather go with Nathan Redmond if I had a choice that is.

Agree2 Disagree2

Id rather a ham sandwich than a shopping basket.

Agree2 Disagree0

This guy does look very good. Awesome left peg shot on him and he looks very quick. I think I saw it somewhere that River plate were looking for around £1.2 million. a steal if that's true. Go get him Ron!

Vangioni sounds good but would he adapt to the sort of friendly club that we are. Probably used to something a bit more volatile like the Italian league.

David Marshall has told Cardiff city manager that he would come to Southampton and that he is thinking about it at the moment. Southampton have a bid lined up for him around 8 million.

i bet he's also told OGS that he wants to go to real madrid or barcalona .
this is a keeper that we are intrested in, but the wrong keeper in my opinion . he will want to be number 1, and boruc is still one of the best in the premiership.
i hate teams that keep swapping the back 5 every game. nice to keep a strong back line. but we need a decent keeper whos happy to play 2nd choice . that's were we missed a trick with costal pantinilion whos joined sunderland

Agree9 Disagree7

Do you not think that should be down to the manager who plays?

Agree4 Disagree1

I think I'd prefer Marshall Over Forster tbh

Agree4 Disagree7

Boruc has done ok, but although not essential, its definitely a position we can improve. He did make some pretty big mistakes last year, and also won us loads of games. I can't help but like boruc. He would be missed if we bought a replacement. I can't see marsha or Forster happy to sit on the bench

Agree3 Disagree2

I think maybe we should plat Mr blobby in goal? I think he is available and we could get him for a good price. I agree with rich21 that this is the managers choice and we can all say who we would or would not like but final decision is up to the gaffer.

Marshall every time for me and I think he would be No. 1 keeper. Artur is a great keeper but sometimes worries us all to death with his antics and poor distribution. Almost as though he is not bothered, which I'm sure he is, but a bit too cocky for my liking.

Agree2 Disagree2

Boruc is better than both and has much more experience

Agree6 Disagree2

Ive heard this to and yeah i'm sure southampton will get him if this is true he's basically telling cardiff he wants to go.

Agree3 Disagree0

Yeah I say just sign him up why wait just do it. we are letting good deals goo. just as soon as you know they want a move go and put a bid in for them we are leaving things to late and we then lose out on good signings this could be the same about david marshall!

Agree3 Disagree0

Boruc for me every time, yes makes school boys mistakes mainly with his feet but great shot stopper and controls his area well, personally think 8 million could be better spent on centre half or another attacking optio. That said we could do with better black up option and then send out gazza on loan for the season to get some much needed time between the sticks to see if he can build up confidence.

Agree3 Disagree2

Ive seen marshall play and I do think he would be a good signing for the saints he played well in the pl last season and I do belive he's to good for championship and there has been talks going around everywhere that he has told cardiff he might leave if he gets a good offer.

Agree0 Disagree0

I really think marshall would be a good signing for southampton and belive he would come to us if we place a bid, hopefully he will come to us he is a great keeper and that's what southampton need!
