The Ramirez deal looks to be back on. While Ramirez’s attitude and that of his agent have infuriated the Rossoblu, it is now claimed they are prepared to start from scratch with the Saints.
It’s reported that last night Southampton called Bologna to apologise for the confusion and confirm their intention to do things by the book, so talks begin again on Monday.
The price-tag remains the same - €15m for 70 per cent of his contract, so not including a commission for the agent and the 30 per cent still owned by Penarol.
Bologna want the cash upfront, but this could be sorted out with payment in instalments.

I think he's worth the up front 15 million euro's. We should go in and give them that. Offer 3.5 to the other club and give a small cut to his agent. Although god knows that agent doesn't deserve it.
Yeah that's what i read as well, should sign before the wigan game hopefully, any news of a cb on the horizon? Thats the only real worry i have about the squad
I'm sure we'll see one come soon.
I see Ian Holloway is up to his usual tricks. Matty Phillips handed in a transfer request, we offered £5m, they supposedly refuse it, and Matt refuses to play today. Holloway believes he can keep hold of him. I think he's just trying to get more dosh for him. Same thing happened with Charlie Adam.
I haven't heard a thing about a CB. I would be very happy if we did buy someone decent as we are lacking in that area. We have great attacking talent and hopefully more to come but yeah, defensively we're a bit short.
Of course you haven't heard anything about a centre back. That's cause they are successful in covering it up this time. They failed with Ramirez and Phillips they came out for one reason or another but I think they're succeeding with any other signings.
Watch this space, have heard we will prob sign a Dutch cb, dont have any names, sorry !
Number 10 shirt taken from Guly. Someone must be coming in to fill it. Please be Ramirez!
