I think if the injuries today are serious then we will have to invest in this window, for a CB and a creative player because at the moment, the only "game changer" if you like is Gaston and if he's injured we have less competition for places as well as less players who can have an impact off the bench. So I either think we should recall Puncheon or sign someone young and talented like Ince or maybe Berahino, to play off the striker. We defo need a quality CB of Lovren's quality though, someone like Micah Richards or Steven Caulker would be amazing, if we do sign players I'd like them to fit our already young and English squad.

Believable8 Unbelievable1

Richards won't leave City - for anyone. He's blue through and through. Caulker won't leave Cardiff after just half a season, but if they get relegated he might then. If it's a centre back we're after I can't think of a good English one who's available in this window, unfortunately.

Did anyone get the feeling from SRL body language that he may have played his last game for us?

Agree1 Disagree10

He was working hard as ever in the first half, he looked tired out by the end of the game so I think the amount of times he will play the full 90 will reduce from now on. I remain unconvinced he will, or in fact anyone will, be sold this window.

Saint Phil

Agree5 Disagree0

I'd rather us use JWP in the play maker role, he's looked good when he's played there before, or Davis. Lovren's injury isn't as bad, he hasn't broken or torn anything, it was from a sunderland player stamping on his ankle, he'll be back for the next league game. Both Lovren and Ramirez travelled back with the squad, so hopefully neither injury is that bad

Agree5 Disagree0

Whos SRL?

Agree2 Disagree4

Sir Rickie Lambert

Agree3 Disagree0

To be fair rickie hasn't done that much this season. Have a lot of respect for what he has done for us in the past but I think a move for the money that was offerd for him would be good for us and him

Agree2 Disagree5

What does it mean when people write IMO?

Agree0 Disagree0

Think Lamberts role will change next season to that of back up. He seems to tire in the 2nd half constantly and that has an impact on the team. Think he may become an impact sub next season (If he is still here).

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would Saints sell Lambert? We don't need the money. I think it is safe to say that. He has never missed a penalty kick, and at his current rate will end up with around 12 goals for the season. He is strong, skilful, and can shoot from distance. He is also a 'fans favourite'. It makes absolutely no sense to sell any of our players right now. The squad needs strengthening, not weakening.

Agree2 Disagree1

People failed to realise the link up play SRL contributes to. No he's not banging them in but his awareness and creativity and movement off the ball is helping our attacking force. Yes we need to finish these chances so a little frustrating but he's still valuable.

Agree2 Disagree0

IMO= In My Opinion, he's not leaving, his creative play has been good but he probs should have had a goal, and Jay could've had a hatrick

Agree0 Disagree0

Can anyone explain the significance of LOL. I seem to see it everywhere. Lol

Unfortunately cortese will not be coming back, the milan rumours are true, berlusconi is serious trouble, galliani quit after 30 yrs but still lingering around, berlusconi now bought in daughter to oversee, seedorf been given to summer to try and claw back 20pts for champions league place. come summer come nicola and mopo

Believable5 Unbelievable21

After today's display that's not a bad thing!Mauricio Pochettino is so one dimensional can only play one way and the same thing is starting to happen as it did in Spain he's being found out!

Agree4 Disagree20

Could not agree more his sub's make me scratch my head somtimes and can't seem to mix it up if it's not going for him. think he was out thought by Gus today?

Agree2 Disagree14

Tactics or strategy were not the issue today. our issue is that we are at least 1 striker short in the squad, and when lambo has a bad patch and osvaldo is suspended we have no one to turn to. another scoring option and we win 3 or 4-1 today.

Agree9 Disagree1

First of all, Poch will not go as he is the right man to take us forward. The problem at the moment is squad depth. I love the fact that we are trying to bring almost half a squad full through our academy but we cannot expect them be involved so heavily just yet. This has been backed up by the possible serious injuries to Ramirez and Lovren. 3 more players needed to see us through to at least top half finish and then push on next season with more mature young players, and Poch with a new contract

Agree10 Disagree2

Spot on!

Agree0 Disagree0

That's us this season no need to bring anyone in untill summer now! 5 points behind Newcastle couldn't afford to lose today and we blew it! best we can do now is stay at 9th
And all down to no depth oh well there's always next year????

Agree1 Disagree5

I wouldn't try blaming it on MP the forwards for Southampton aren't performing to prem standards

Agree5 Disagree0

I like pocc, but remember he is still learning as a manager. IMO all these rumours of him going to Milan are rubbish. Why would a club like Milan hire an inexperienced manager to not only manage them, but to get them into Europe? Why not hire an already well experienced manager? IMO, southampton is the best place poch with or without cortese. He left espanyol after all his top players left. He has it good here at saints. Best thing for us and pocc is to stick together and this season will be a good learning curve for everyone
Saint smiff

Agree3 Disagree0

Aren't performing to premier league standards? What ever your smoking I want some! Dominating games and sat 9th, 8 points clear of 10th. That's definitely not up to scratch, sack the lot of them!

Agree7 Disagree2

'Why would milan hire an inexperienced manager to get them into europe'. well poch is a lot more managerial experienced than seedorf. who they've just given the reins

Agree6 Disagree0

China's richest man is ready to add to the boardroom intrigue at Southampton with a takeover bid.
The move could see Nicola Cortese returning to his role as the club’s executive chairman.

Agree5 Disagree1

Managers that ac Milan are after are already managing. Seedorf to steady the ship but a top manager will be in after the World Cup. Not pocc
